Tagusari Bros Episode 4 Review: Clues, Betrayals, and a Final Shock

Tagusari Bros Episode 4 Review: This segment peels back more layers of the mystery as new discoveries leave Makoto and Minoru with even more questions. It balances emotional tension and investigative drama in a pretty good and effective manner. Several unexpected reveals completely shift the direction of the cases handled by Makoto and Minoru.

What happens after they call the number?

When they called the number, they realised that it was none other than Fumi with whom they were talking. Makoto asks her to meet him, and she accepts.

Was Tsuda really the killer?

Most likely, Tsuda was not the original killer because Makoto was told by his senior police officer about it. Then it gets revealed that the same senior had been the one who looked after him and his brother from afar when they were young. He was also one of the officers who was responsible for his parents’ case. Makoto and Minoru become so angry at the officer for not being able to help them when they were young that they ask him to help them now that they’re old enough to find the culprits.

We also get some information about the investigation and learn how it has something to do with the fire that broke out at the factory.

What happens to Togo?

The man whom everyone thought was the stalker of the fire victim ended up dead later. Police officers also found out that most likely he had known the victim since they were young. But they also theorise that they all might have been involved with the gold that officers found earlier. Now, the next person of interest in the investigation becomes Yokokura. She had known Togo.

When Minoru asks Fumi if she knew about Tsuda, she completely denied it. Not only that, she had no idea why that man had her number in the first place. He also tries to talk to her husband, but he gives no answer because he has been sick for some time.

What happens in the new case?

The new case goes in a completely different direction as we get to know that the Togo guy was the one who orchestrated the whole gold heist. He’s the one who roped in the four friends into doing something illegal and kind of became the reason for their death. Now it is up to the police officers to find him.

How did the case turn out in the end?

The whole thing was again brilliantly designed, and we finally find out who Togo actually is. It was a completely unexpected outcome, and I like how subtle these surprising elements are in this series.

How did this episode end?

Just like usual, the episode ends with another twist as Makoto and Minoru find a gun in their old home. This was very unexpected as they never thought that their father or mother would hide something like that in their own home.

What worked and what did not work?

This episode further deepens the mystery surrounding Makoto and Minoru’s parents’ deaths while solving other cases in between. This style keeps the audience hooked and makes the series more interesting. There was nothing that I particularly did not enjoy.
