What happens after the attack?

After the attack, Seo-ri wakes up, and Se-gye stays there to ask if she’s the one who planted the attack on him. She obviously becomes very angry with him and lets him know that he is wrong. She also tells him that she can act as his bodyguard and protect him from any assassination attempts. However, Se-gye does not agree with her and makes her go home.

Does Seo-ri have anyone in her family?

When Seo-ri reaches her boarding house, she meets her grandmother. She realises that the original Seo-ri was loved by her grandmother very much, and she also becomes emotional about their bond. Later, she reads the original Seo-ri’s diary and comes to the conclusion that she was a hard-working woman. She never became successful in life, but at the same time, she tried her best to support both herself and her grandma.

Thus, the new Seo-ri decides that she will be successful in her life and live bravely.

Who is the one responsible for all the assassination attempts on Se-gye?

It is very apparent that Se-gye’s cousin, Moon-do, is the one to be blamed for the assassination attempts on Se-gye. He seems like a very suspicious and jealous person who wants to get into the good graces of his uncle. Perhaps there is an inheritance involved, and that is why he doesn’t want Se-gye to live.

Was Se-gye also a part of Seo-ri’s past?

Yes, in this episode, it gets revealed that Se-gye was also someone who lived at the same time as Seo-ri or Dan-shim. He had saved her in their past lives when she got bullied by other court ladies.

Does Seo-ri start earning new money?

A video of Seo-ri goes viral, and from there on, her good days begin.

Seo-ri becomes very impressed with the food, thus she realises that she needs money to sustain her interests. However, wherever she goes to ask for a job, she gets turned down because of her behaviour. Luckily, she gets a job opportunity where she must eat in a way that sells the products in an ad shoot. As she was already viral, and the fact that she is very enthusiastic about whatever she does, she became a very successful marketing asset.

What worked and what did not work?

This was another really good episode, and one of the biggest positive points of this series is its comedy. The humour is not at all a secondary thing here, and it takes centre stage, making you laugh at every funny scene. On the other hand, the twist at the end was genuinely surprising, and things make a lot more sense now. I’m really happy with the direction that the series is taking right now.
