Destined With You Episode 3 Preview: The new fantasy romance drama series (이 연애는 불가항력) stars Rowoon, Jo Bo-ah, Ha Jun, and Yura in lead roles. The show has been directed by Nam Ki-hoon who previously directed Oh My Baby (2020) and Kiss Sixth Sense (2022). It has been written by Noh Ji-sul.

The drama revolves around Lee Hong-jo, a civil servant, and an ace lawyer, Jang Shin-yu who end up meeting unexpectedly. After she comes in the procession of an old wooden box that contains secrets and a sealed forbidden book, the connection between the two grows stronger. It is discovered that Shin-yu suffers from a mysterious illness that has run throughout his family for generations and the cure to it is in the hands of Hong-jo. The magical book which may be the cure brings the two closer and a romance brews between them.

Jo Bo-ah returns with this drama after recently starring in Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 as Nam Ji-ah. Rowoon was last seen in 2022’s Tomorrow as Choi Joon-woong. Ha Jun previously starred in Missing: The Other Side Season 2 as Shin Joon-was while Yura’s previous role was in Forecasting Love and Weather as Chae Yoo-jin. New episodes of Destined With You arrive on JTBC on Wednesday-Thursday at 10.30 PM. Previously, the timeslot was occupied by Miraculous Brothers.

The main plot of the series has been described by Netflix as: “A lawyer bound by a centuries-old curse becomes entangled with a civil servant who holds the key to his freedom — igniting an unexpected romance.”

Destined With You Episode 3 Release Date and Time

The Korean TV series will air from August 23, 2023 – October 12, 2023. Episode 3 of the series will air on August 30 at 10.30 PM KST.

Destined With You Episode 3 Predictions

The third episode of the series will be crucial considering it will reveal the after-effects of the love spell that was cast by Hong-jo. The preview has also showcased how Shin-yu may reveal his illness to her and also tell the spell he needs from the book to save himself. There is also a possibility that Hong-jo goes on a date with her office crush Kwon Jae-kyung. Whether their date is because of the love spell or her previous love confession is what is left to see. While trying to figure out how the book of spells works, it looks like Hong-jo and Shin-yu will also come closer.

Destined With You Episode 2 Recap

The second episode of the series proved important since it showcased Hong-jo receiving the wooden box from Shin-yu, who found it at the haunted shrine. On receiving the antique, Hong-jo tries hard to open it but is unable to do so after repeated attempts. Eventually, the box surprisingly opens itself after she gets injured in an accident. Inside the box, she finds a book of spells that reveals spells for love and curing diseases.

In another interesting development, Shin-yu and Hong-jo end up becoming colleagues after the former accepts a job at the City Hall. He is appointed to take down big corporations. After pestering Hong-jo to show him the book of spells, Shin-yu finally gets the chance to see it and is stunned by its revelations. Another major event that happens is also that Hong-jo ends up confessing her feelings to her office crush Kwon Jae-kyung (Ha Jun) although she gets shot down by him and is left heartbroken. Bits of Hong-jo’s past are also revealed as it turns out that Shin-yu’s girlfriend Na-yeon (Yuri) used to be her classmate.

After being left heartbroken, in a moment of weakness, Hong-jo turns to the book of spells and prepares to cast a love spell. As she is working on the procedure, Shin-yu who is driving begins to feel uneasy and is grasped by the red hand that makes him lose his car’s control.

Destined With You will be available to watch on JTBC and will stream on Netflix in select regions.
