Destined With You Episode 1 Reactions: Viewers Fall for Rowoon and Jo Bo-ah’s Blossoming Chemistry

Destined With You Episode 1 reactions have got fans discussing on X (Twitter) how actors Rowoon and Jo Bo-ah look perfect together in the new fantasy romance. The drama (이 연애는 불가항력) directed by Nam Ki-hoon also stars Ha Jun, and Yura in lead roles. The series stars Rowoon of popular K-Pop group, SF9 fame in the lead role of Jang Shin-yu, a lawyer whereas Bo-ah as Hong Jong-ho, a dutiful civil servant who works at the City Hall.

The series written by Noh Ji-sul premiered its first episode on August 23, 2023, and it airs on JTBC on Wednesday-Thursday at 10.30 PM, KST. It is also available for streaming on Netflix. The fantasy romance drama also stars Hyeon Bong-sik, Lee Bong-ryun, Park Kyung-hye, Song Young-kyu in supporting roles.

The plot revolves around Lee Hong-jo (Jo Bo-ah) and Jang Shin-yu (Rowoon) who are unexpectedly connected due to a forbidden book that was thoroughly sealed 300 years ago. While Hong-jo and Shin-yu cross paths due to their professional setting as a civil servant and a lawyer, they soon discover how they share another important connection.

Hong-jo is the owner of a mystery wooden box that contains a book that can help Shin-yu get rid of a cure that has been posing a threat to his life. Amid trying to find answers to these past mysteries, the duo also get close and form a romantic connection.

The first episode of the show began on an intriguing note as it revealed how Shin-yu is suffering from a genetic disorder but also how he is being haunted by a red hand, due to a curse. As for Hong-jo, the premiere introduced her as a lovable character who enjoys working as a civil servant and truly wants to help people with her job. The two lead characters crossed paths in the first episode and the banter shared by them has already got fans talking about their chemistry.

Rowoon and Bo-ah’s scenes from the first episode featured the two sharing some funny exchanges as well as having an emotional moment towards the end and fans have been gushing over how the duo are already giving them butterflies. Viewers discussed how they can’t wait to see where the story goes ahead and are waiting to see how the romance will bloom between these two characters, especially since Shin-yu is introduced as a cold, brooding male lead.

The Destined With You episode 2 preview has already showcased how the two will find out the connection they share due to a wooden box, elements of which are unknown to both. The show is expected to get interesting as Hong-jo will try to open the box and find out what has been sealed inside it for years. The second episode of the show will air on August 24 at 10.30 PM KST.
