My Lovely Liar Episode 8 reactions are all over X (Twitter) after the latest episode aired on tvN. The series (소용없어 거짓말) has been written by Seo Jeong-eu, and directed by Nam Sung-woo. Starring Hwang Min-hyun and Kim So-hyun in lead roles, the show features them as characters of Kim Do-ha and Mok Sol-hee. Every new episode of the show has been showcasing the changing dynamics between the duo and at the same time new mysteries are being unlocked.
The show premiered on July 31, 2023, and airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 20:50 KST. It is also available for streaming on Viki and Viu in selected regions. The series’ supporting cast includes Seo Ji-hoon as Lee Kang-min, a detective, and Lee Si-woo.
The plot mainly revolves around So-hyun who plays Mok Sol-hee, a woman with super-abilities to hear other people’s lies. While she considers it as a curse given how the ability keeps her from getting close to anyone, she comes across a new experience after meeting Kim Do-ha played by Min-hyun who is also a murder suspect but insists on his innocence.
Over the last few episodes, Sol-hee and Do-ha’s love story was seen gradually being built up although every episode has also come with some twists and unexpected cliffhanger endings, thus leaving the viewers eager to see what happens ahead. In episode 7 Sol-hee listened to Do-ha’s confession about not having anything to do with the murder and thus was faced with the question of whether she would trust him.
As for episode 8, one of the biggest highlights for fans remained how Sol-hee decided to trust Do-ha despite the lie she heard and also didn’t let him reveal the whole story because she believes in his innocence. With the trust factor that has built up between the two, it certainly seems that they will get closer in the next episode. Another sweet moment from the episode also happened to be how Do-ha admitted that he likes Sol-hee.
In terms of So-hee’s strong feelings for Do-ha, it was evident in her emotional exchange with Kang-min that she can’t think about anyone else now. Viewers who reacted to the new episode couldn’t help but notice how Sol-hee is the first person to have believed in Do-ha and hence have been shipping for the couple to get together sooner than ever now.
