Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 12 is the twelfth episode of the latest season of one of the most anticipated sequels of this year. Vinland Saga is an action, adventure, and drama series directed by Shuuhei Yabuta and based on an original manga written by Makoto Yukimura. The latest season is being animated by Studio MAPPA.
A tale set in the golden age of Vikings, Vinland Saga follows Thorfinn, son of the greatest warrior ever to set foot in the world, Thors. Even after Thors moves away from the violence he had been embroiled in since his youth, it finds him and his family anyways as he tragically lost his life to the same people he once deemed his fellow warriors. Thorfinn swears vengeance and vows to defeat the person who started it all and to find the fabled Vinland, a paradise somewhere west.
Season 1, or the prologue of the series, saw Thorfinn become a vassal of the newest king of England and Denmark, Canute. However, in a tragic turn of events, he was unable to avenge his dead father by killing Askeladd, as he tragically lost his life trying to save his homeland from being invaded by the Vikings. Thorfinn must now find a new purpose in life, one that doesn’t involve revenge and eating his life in a fruitless pursuit. It is time to see how Thorfinn grows as a person.

The plan to take over Ketil’s farm is on, and Canute has hatched a devious plan for the same. Olmar, Ketil’s son, has always been the dimwitted type, and given how passionate he still is about joining the royal guard despite his obvious lack of skill in combat makes him an excellent pawn in the plan. He is going to be led into making several mistakes, and one of those is going to end up costing Ketil his farm and Thorfinn his chance at freedom.

Other than Olmar, who should be focused upon as little as possible for your sanity and mine, this one should once again be all about Canute and his cohorts trying to get more money for their empire. Leif’s attempts to get back to Thorfinn should also be spotlighted because, for once, it appears that he has a solid lead that he doesn’t want to give up on. However, that is a little more complicated because of the situation with Ketil.

Ketil hits the shores of the capital of Denmark with gifts for the King, only to realise that King Harald is dead and has been replaced by King Canute. He panics for a bit before setting up a meeting with Canute to offer the gifts to him, but Canute is plotting to gain Ketil’s entire farm to increase the amount of money in his treasury. Meanwhile, Ketil encounters Leif, who is still looking for Thorfinn, and realises that Ketil’s slave might be the real one.
