Two Supreme Devils Leave Nacht Fighting for His Life

The first layer of the underworld opens up and produces 2 devils of the highest order. This is not a good situation for anyone, and Nacht realises that very well. Even his devil started to shake in fear because of their arrival. On the flip side, the devils also show no sign of stopping as they start to attack right off the bat without much thought. Anyone else would have died right away, but Nacht manages to survive, albeit getting hurt a lot. However, it is apparent that they were not even using their full powers on Nacht. It was all a huge play for them, as they were just toying with the Vice Captain.

Their arrival is concerning, but they are not the only ones who live in the underworld. Many mid-level and lower-level devils also come outside and start to prey on normal people of the Spade Kingdom. On the other hand, Mereoleona was outside fighting the huge devil. Weirdly enough, her attacks were still not enough for it to go down.

Dark Triad Unleashes Their True Power After Initial Defeats

In the previous episode, I thought the dark triads were too weak. The way they all got defeated initially made it look like they weren’t strong at all and were pretty easily defeated by the captains and the vice captains. However, it was obviously because they were not fighting with their full powers, and I’m glad that we could see the Triad siblings become way stronger and continue the fight.

This made the episode far more interesting. Their power-ups were also believable precisely because the first gate of the underworld also made it possible for them to have a better connection with their devil counterparts. Their contracts were no longer incomplete, and hence they could unleash their powers at full capacity.

Asta Becomes the Clover Kingdom’s Hope

A fight ensues, and the situation turns worse for everyone from then on. We see demons attacking normal citizens everywhere, even the Clover Kingdom. The magicians back home try their best to keep the demons at bay. Yet, things do not go their way. Julius was there to somehow put a stop to what the demon was doing, but another person actually saves the day. Asta never went with the Captains, and hence he was back home training.

Asta’s new form also gets displayed in this fight, and it is one of the coolest transformations ever. He merges with Liebe, and this new devil union form only lasts 5 minutes; within that time, he is supposed to defeat the devil. This was also a great platform for him to showcase his powers to the citizens and prove himself to be a great candidate for a future wizard king.

Final Thoughts

This episode was absolutely breathtaking, not just because it had some great fights. Black Clover’s greatest strength is its unique transformations of characters, and they know how to use that to draw you in. Apart from that, while previous seasons of this anime were criticised for their bad animation, this season the animators are pulling no punches and giving their all to maintain the quality. All in all, I absolutely loved this episode.
