The Worst of Evil Episodes 8 and 9 Preview: In the latest episodes, Jun-mo gets into a sticky situation while trying to cover his identity from a suspicious Gi-cheul. With a surprising turn of events, he is left to wonder whether he has compromised his own identity. Meanwhile, Eui-jeong and Gi-cheul continue to meet as he tries to court her, while the latter is forced to make a difficult decision when he realises that someone close to him has backstabbed him and created a dent in his precious business.

This Korean action-crime-thriller TV series (최악의 악) is written by Jang Min-suk, directed by Han Dong-wook and stars Ji Chang-wook, Wi Ha-joon and Im Se-mi in lead roles. The series is expected to have 12 episodes, with a runtime of around 60 minutes.

Chang-wook was last seen in the 2022 drama If You Wish Upon Me as Yoon Gyeo-rye; Ha-joon was last seen in 2022’s Little Women as Choi Do-il (alongside Kim Go-eun, Nam Ji-hyun, Park Ji-hu) and Se-mi starred in 2022’s The Empire as SBC Reporter Yoon Eun-Mi.

Set in Seoul in the 1990s, police officer Jun-mo is sucked into a deadly underworld drug peddling racket when a deadly organisation with a shadowy new leader starts selling a dangerous new drug in the nightclub scene and trafficking between Japan, China and Korea. Unfortunately, when he finds his wife, also a police officer, working undercover in this organisation as well for the same case, he must protect her and his mission with all his might. In the midst of doing this, however, certain truths come to the surface that he is probably not ready to face. Will Jun-mo be able to handle the weight of these scenarios and bring justice at the same time?

Meanwhile, is there a mutiny on the horizon for the Gangnam Union as people try to claw for power?

The drug business comes to a standstill as the Japanese refuse to participate, thanks to Gi-cheul constantly coming face to face with the police. With the Chinese unsure of where they stand, Jun-mo makes a last-ditch effort and tries his best to make Hae-ryun interested while getting the meth off the streets of Korea. It results in a surprising casualty bearing the brunt of the deception and getting his face sliced open. To add further stress, Jun-mo’s identity almost comes out in the open thanks to Gi-cheul doing something heartfelt for Eui-jeong but he manages to contain the situation but at a devastating cost.
