Destined With You Episode 16 Preview: The fantasy romance drama series (이 연애는 불가항력) stars Rowoon, Jo Bo-ah, Ha Jun, and Yura in lead roles. The show has been written by Noh Ji-sul and directed by Nam Ki-hoon, who previously worked on Oh My Baby (2020) and Kiss Sixth Sense (2022).
The drama revolves around Lee Hong-jo, a civil servant, and an ace lawyer, Jang Shin-yu who end up meeting unexpectedly. After she comes in the procession of an old wooden box with a forbidden book, the connection between the two grows stronger. It is discovered that Shin-yu suffers from a mysterious illness that has run throughout his family for generations and the cure to it is in the hands of Hong-jo. The magical book which may be the cure brings the two closer and a romance brews between them.
Jo Bo-ah returns with this drama after recently starring in Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 as Nam Ji-ah. SF9’s Rowoon was last seen in 2022’s Tomorrow as Choi Joon-woong. Ha Jun previously starred in Missing: The Other Side Season 2 as Shin Joon while Yura’s previous role was in Forecasting Love and Weather as Chae Yoo-jin. New episodes of Destined With You arrive on JTBC on Wednesday-Thursday at 10.30 PM. Previously, the same timeslot was occupied by Miraculous Brothers.

In the finale, Shin-yu will go in search of Hong-jo to all places. Mr. Lee will be arrested and interrogated as he was the last person Hong-jo was seen with. Mr. Na will prepare his spell ritual and torment Hong-jo however she will somehow escape and resist him. Before Shin-yu can reach her, something negative will happen to her but there will be a way out and she will be saved.
Mr. Na will either be arrested or killed for his actions. Hong-jo and Shin-yu will stay happy together. Nayeon might end up with Hyeon-seo since they’re like-minded. We will learn that Jae-kyung didn’t side with Hyeon-seo for the benefit of Hong-jo. The episode might end with Hong-jo and Shin-yu’s marriage and them two having a daughter, proving the Shaman’s dream.
Destined With You Episode 15 Recap
In this episode, Hong-jo spends the night with Shin-yu but faces a heated confrontation when Shin-yu’s parents unexpectedly arrive in the morning. While Shin-yu’s mother is supportive, his father strongly disapproves of their relationship. Hong-jo affirms her commitment to Shin-yu and returns home. At her place, she meets her landlady at Jae-kyung’s place. Shin-yu joins them three and he introduces himself as her boyfriend. They leave together to spend time and discuss their relationship.
The following day, Hong-jo returns to work and hears about her senior staff dating. Meanwhile, at Shin-yu’s office, he’s reunited with his assistant and informed by Jae-kyung that the mayor wants him to quit. Jae-kyung’s visit sparks a heated exchange. Later, Hyeon-seo visits Shin-yu and he mentions an influential ally. Shin-yu questions Jae-kyung about his involvement, but the truth remains uncertain.
Shin-yu and Hong-jo meet his mother at a restaurant along with Wook, sharing a wonderful evening before parting ways. Afterward, Shin-yu’s mother discovers the seriousness of her husband’s company and returns home despite filing for divorce. She finds her husband drunk and embraces him after he asks her not to leave.
The episode takes a dramatic turn when Hong-jo confronts Nayeon and her friends, revealing Nayeon’s manipulative actions in a past relationship. Hong-jo stands her ground and records Nayeon’s abusive words. She later shares the incident with Shin-yu. At his place, he offers her his shirt, leading to a passionate night together. The episode ends with Hong-jo meeting Mr. Lee, who was previously approached by Mr. Na. When Hong-jo goes missing, Shin-yu receives the news, and the episode concludes with Hong-jo unconscious in a cave with Mr. Na.
