Ha-ru Suspects Hyung-won as Woo-jae’s Murder Mystery Deepens

Even though Ha-ru finds the suspicious mark on Hyung-won’s hand, he is not entirely sure that Hyung-won’s the one who killed Woo-jae in the first episode. This is because he suspects that in the first timeline, Hyung-won did not even know his sister properly. Thus, things do not get clear even in the beginning as to who might be the actual villain in this story. On the other hand, the whole film crew gather in Ha-na’s home for the shooting.

This happens while Ha-ru keeps an eye on Hyung-won and makes sure he doesn’t go anywhere. However, when he has to go to the washroom for a little bit, Hyung-won actually goes out. That is exactly when Ha-ru goes to his room, finds his sister’s schedule and tries to call her to warn her about Hyung-won. Later, we do see Hyung-won travelling on a bus, but things do not become clear on whether he is actually the one who broke the fake camera.

Later, we do get shown that someone was listening to the siblings when they were discussing getting thrown into another future. Thus, whoever broke that camera did so to scare Ha-na.

Even though we did not see Hyung-won dropping the camera, Ha-ru goes to Ha-na and tells her that he’s the one who did all of those things. He bases his observation on the fact that Hyung-won had Ha-na’s schedule with him. On top of that, he also knew where the siblings lived and more or less everything about them. Ha-ru also theorises that if Hyung-won was not alone, there is a chance someone from Ha-na’s film classmates was a part of the plan.

Woo-jae and Ha-na’s Romance Blossoms Amid the Murder Mystery

The mystery about the killer is definitely the central conflict of the storyline; however, we do get some romantic elements as well. Woo-jae, who has no idea what was happening behind his back, is completely oblivious to the siblings trying to save him. He is the only person here who manages to live the romantic moments without the despair of losing the other. Thus, through his eyes, we see love blooming and intensifying between Woo-jae and Ha-na.

In his interaction with Ha-na, we could see her constantly stressing about what could happen to him, while he just enjoys being with her. He also lets Ha-na know that even though she wanted him to protect himself, he wants to be a bodyguard in the future precisely because he wants to protect her.

The last twist was definitely something unexpected. The true camera is located, and it indeed sets off another future. However, this time, everything is bad for the siblings. The drastic changes don’t make sense, and they leave the audience as confused as the siblings about how the future became so much worse than the other futures they witnessed.

Final Thoughts

This episode twisted the storyline in a very clever way again, and I am honestly not mad that we haven’t had much resolution yet. The storyline keeps you guessing as to what might happen next, and I am not at all complaining about that.
