In ‘The Sound Of Magic’ Making-of Video, Ji Chang-wook Talks About His Character And More

Ji Chang-wook is coming back to treat us with his new Kdrama, The Sound Of Magic. Ji Chang-wook plays the role of a free-spirited magician, living in an abandoned theme park, who becomes friends with Choi Seung-eun and Hwang In-yeop. The Sound Of Magic is based on the webtoon named Annarasumanara and is directed by Kim Seong-yoon.

On 3rd May, the making film The Sound Of Magic was released on YouTube, in which the characters’ names were revealed and their backgrounds were introduced. The actors and the directors also shared their thoughts on the making process and their favourite parts.

Ji Chang-wook is a mysterious magician called Ri-eul who is always joyful even though he has nothing on him. He lives like an innocent kid because he doesn’t want to live like a grown-up. He helps Ah-yi and Il-deung realize their dreams. However, he has some dark secrets too.

Choi Sang-eun is a girl named Yoon Ah-yi who doesn’t know what to do in her life. She meets Ri-eul and they become good friends. She has faced some harsh incidents in her life and each day is survival for her.

Hwang In-yeop plays Na Il-deung who is always at the top of the class just like his name. He is pretentious and doesn’t know how to express his feelings. Ri-eul helps him seek his true self because he reminds him of his younger self.

According to the director Kim Sung-yoon, the show gives the message of how it is like to be a grown-up. The show talks about dreams and how is it okay to not have a dream, something that grown-ups always try to find and end up unhappy because they can never find one. He added that viewers will love the music from the show and he added that it enhanced the message he wanted to express through the show.
