My Liberation Notes Episode 8 Recap: Gi-jeong Confesses Her Feelings To Tae-hun

My Liberation Notes (나의 해방일지) is a Korean drama series directed by Kim Suk-yoon and stars Kim Ji-won, Lee Min-ki, Son Suk-ku and Lee El, alongside other cast members. The series has 16 episodes. My Liberation Notes Episode 8 has a runtime of 64 minutes.

In My Liberation Notes Episode 8, Mi-jeong’s colleagues noticed that she has been texting someone frequently and they suspect that she has got a boyfriend. They even guess that it would be the same guy Mi-jeong told them about. When they ask her what does she like about him, she has to think for a while before giving the answer. She says that he has no shell meaning that he is easily approachable to her. Her colleagues tease her for how sweetly she talks of her boyfriend.

Tae-hun is just back from a vacation with his family and has to go to Sanpo to buy an original copy of a Nirvana album but his elder sister suggests he ask Gi-jeong for help as she lives in Sanpo. Gi-jeong buys the album for him and they set a date to meet in Seoul. Gi-jeong is excited to meet him as she missed him. She has decided to ask him out but is afraid of getting rejected, so she makes Chang-hee and his friend create a dramatic scene for her so that she feels less embarrassed. However, she hurts her wrist in the process.

Mi-jeong’s boss always looked down on her and made her revise her design proposals. Whenever she felt like crying, she worked in a cafe imagining she had a boyfriend but now, Gu is right beside her, making her imagination come true. This time her original design gets accepted and the revisions made as per told by her boss get rejected. Mi-jeong is happy and that’s when her colleague tells her that Mi-jeong is often unhappy because she doesn’t know how talented she really is.

Gi-jeong gives the music album to Tae-hun and they share a brief conversation about music and its impact. Their conversation is short-lived and after they go on their way Gi-jeong stops Tae-hun a few times but can’t bring herself to talk to him. However, she gives way to her feelings and asks Tae-hun if he would like to be in a relationship with her or would like to date her. Tae-hun is flustered and asks her if she is joking. He doesn’t know what to say because he had not expected a confession but Gi-jeong is hurt and only left crying.

My Liberation Notes Episode 8 Ending

While Gu fills fuel in the truck at the gas station, a man looking like a thug looks at him suspiciously. He seems to know Gu and tells his boss about it. However, his boss can’t believe the fact that Gu is a truck driver. Later, Gu gets a call from who seems to be his brother, who tells him that someone has spotted him in Gyeonggi and they might come again looking for him. What is Gu’s real identity and why is he hiding in a village when he seems like someone out of the ordinary person?

My Liberation Notes Episode 8 Review

My Liberation Notes Episode 8 is about hope, facing your fears and believing a little more in yourself. Even when things get difficult neither of the siblings back off from doing it, they face the problems instead of giving them up. From depressing to hopeful, the drama has been going on the right track.
