In this episode, Lawrence is more desperate than ever due to his increasingly precarious situation. He needs to acquire a significant amount of pyrite in a short period, but it’s no easy task since almost everyone has already hoarded it. With legal avenues exhausted, Lawrence is forced to consider an illicit route to obtain the pyrite as quickly as possible.

The only place left to procure illegal pyrite is from Dian, a solitary alchemist. Being an alchemist, Dian is avoided by most, which is why Lawrence believes she might still have what he needs. However, before approaching her, Lawrence must convince Batos to support his risky plan. Although Batos would typically refuse such a request, he recognizes that Lawrence’s motivations go beyond mere profit, so he reluctantly agrees.

Lawrence’s troubles don’t end there. When he finally reaches Dian, she informs him that another buyer has already requested the pyrite he’s seeking. While Dian promises to try to negotiate with the previous customer, she cannot guarantee success.

Afterwards, Lawrence meets with his friend Marc, who gives him a reality check. It’s during this conversation that Lawrence begins to fully grasp the poor decisions he’s made in recent days. Marc gently but firmly criticizes his stubbornness, leading Lawrence to acknowledge his mistakes and reconsider his approach.

The episode might show Lawrence trying to get Holo from the clutches of Amati. But Lawrence will not be able to do anything unless he seriously tries to defeat him.

Hopefully, Lawrence will get some help from Dian as she promised, but we can not be sure of that yet.
