Most Anticipated Anime of Summer 2025: The Summer anime lineup is one of the most impressive ones in 2025, for it is bringing some of the best returning series. Apart from that, we also get some promising new entries.
Though we are spoilt for choices, I have picked the ones I am most interested in watching. However, there are definitely other shows that deserve equal attention. So, without further ado, let us look at the 8 most anticipated anime of summer 2025.
8 Most Anticipated Anime of Summer 2025
1) Dandadan Season 2
Dandadan is hands-down one of my absolute favourite anime that is returning with a second season on July 4. This time, we will see Jiji turning into his Evil Eye persona and wreaking havoc.
However, Okarun and Momo will not leave him just like that and will come to his rescue. I am also looking forward to Momo and Okarun’s relationship development.

2) Kaiju No. 8 Season 2
This is another returning series that promises lots of action and a dramatic turn of events. This time, Kafka will join the strongest Anti-Kaiju squad, under the strongest soldier, Gen Narumi.
Kafka will also start to go on missions in his Kaiju form and fight his enemies straight on without hiding in the shadows anymore. Plus, we will witness other threats from the Kaijuu No. 9.

3) My Dress-Up Darling Season 2
Marin is back with her bubbly charm, bold cosplays, and cheeky flirting with Gojo. On top of that, this season will dive even deeper into the vibrant world of cosplay. Here, we get to witness the meticulous costume-making process and the electric atmosphere of fan events. As their bond grows stronger, Gojo and Marin’s shared passion will shape their future relationship and bring them closer.
4) The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity
This is definitely the most anticipated romance anime of this season as we will see two very unlikely people come together. While Kikyo Academy shines with prestige and perfection, Chidori High is branded as the home of delinquents.
But when soft-spoken Rintarou, crosses paths with the refined Kaoruko from Kikyo, an unlikely connection begins to bloom. What starts with a simple apology develops into something far deeper.
5) Sakamoto Days Part 2
The peaceful life of our favourite retired hitman is about to get chaotic again. Sakamoto may be running a convenience store, but danger never takes a day off for him.
In Part 2, I expect sharper action and even wilder assassins trying to mess with Sakamoto. Plus, there will also be hilarious moments as Sakamoto will juggle family life with deadly showdowns.

6) Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2
Senku and the Kingdom of Science return, and this time the stakes are higher than ever. With their journey taking them all the way to South America, Senku pushes the limits of science once more.
On the other hand, Stanley remains in relentless pursuit of Senku and Xeno. But with Dr. Xeno now in Senku’s custody, can an uneasy alliance begin to form?

7) Gachiakuta
Gachiakuta is a brand new shonen that is surely going to break the charts with its very unique premise. Here, we see Rudo’s world turns upside down when he’s falsely accused of killing his father and cast into the Abyss.
But death doesn’t come. Instead, Rudo awakens in a nightmarish world of living junk and twisted creatures.
8) The Summer Hikaru Died
This is one of the most promising entries in the horror anime genre and I expect a spine-chilling viewing experience. Here, we see the haunting bond of two friends, Yoshiki and Hikaru. They have always been inseparable until one summer changed everything. Now, the boy beside Yoshiki looks and sounds like Hikaru, but he is not.
