At Hanbada, Woo Young-woo asks Lee Jun-ho if she can touch him to know if she likes him. He asks if she has never felt her heart race when around him, saying that this disappoints him. He then keeps moving closer to her and the flustered Woo Young-woo shuts her eyes. Later, she rushes into her father’s restaurant while trying to escape to her room but is stopped by him. Woo Gwang-ho tells her that she has gotten this job because he is friends with the CEO of Hanbada which greatly shocks her and she runs away from there. Elsewhere, Hwan Min-woo has posted an anonymous post about unfair hiring on Hanbada’s bulletin board.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episode 7 Review

Extraordinary Attorney Woo episode 7 starts off a new chapter for Woo Young-woo with more troubles than ever. Starting off with the truth about the job that she thought she got because of her capability but turns out that it was all because of nepotism. While it is not her fault, she will have to bear the burden of this, especially after Hwan Min-woo’s post which is going to bring a storm into her life. She is not only emotionally hurt after her father’s confession but will be mentally tortured after the news breaks out because there are people who will not be able to accept such biased hiring.

On the other side, there is a big secret that can be dropped on her at any time, the secret of her mother. While she misses a motherly figure in her life, she is idolizing Tae Soo-mi after this trial while unaware that she is her mother. This is going to be an even greater shock to her in the future as I have a feeling that these two are going to get closer before the big reveal.

But there’s a silver lining named Lee Jun-ho who is here to help our protagonist make it through these troubles. Today’s episode gave us more of this extremely lovely couple that knows how to warm our hearts. I really want to thank these two for making every episode so special. Their little misunderstandings and the way they solve them makes my heart race like crazy because I am in love with this couple!

I also want to appreciate Choi Soo-yeon for being the tsundere character that she is, a harsh exterior and a warm heart. Let’s hope that she does not change and remains by Woo Young-woo’s side through the upcoming troubles.

This episode opens up the question, is Hwan Min-woo right in some way? While it is asked of the court to treat her like any other attorney, is it okay to show partiality to her when it comes to other things? But there’s also the factor that even after passing with flying colours from law school she was not hired because of this very bias. A double-edged sword that needs balance on both sides. If Woo Young-woo was given the same opportunities as any of her fellow graduates because of her ”special circumstances” then she wouldn’t have been hired because of these very ”special circumstances”.

  1. It’s not nepotism. At least not in the USA because they are not related. There is nothing wrong with an acquaintance offering a position to the child of someone they know. At least not in the USA. This is how a huge amount of people get work. This is more in the vein of networking. And she has the credentials to back up being hired. She also had the senior attorney test her out. Min woo is probably a spot for Taesan. I actually think he’s Young woo’s brother.

    • While it is not a big deal for others to get a job through connections, for Woo Young-woo to get this job the same way makes her seem less capable because of her autism. People will not look at her capabilities but only at her autism, and even say that she only got the job because of her disability. I really like your theory about Min-woo.
