Planning to Watch Masaba Masaba Season 2? Here’s a Short Recap of the Previous Season

Before Masaba Masaba Season 2 drops on Netflix this month, a short recap of everything that happened in the previous season has been released. The video presented by the lead cast themselves brushes up our memory of everything that happened previously.

The series is written and directed by Sonam Nair and produced by Ashvini Yardi’s Viniyard Films. There are 6 episodes with a runtime of about 25-34 minutes respectively. The official synopsis reads – Real life mom-daughter duo Neena and Masaba Gupta play versions of themselves in this playful, fictional peek into their lives in fashion and film.

This scripted series is based on real-life moments from Masaba Gupta’s life and follows her unique background, the diverse worlds where she straddles fashion and family and her foray back into the dating world. An inspirational, joyous celebration of her life, this fun series is packed with tongue-in-cheek humour.

To summarise the show, Masaba describes the show as something that challenges the heteronormative rules in contemporary workplaces by tackling divergent, intricate issues. But before she could go on further, she is interrupted by her mother Neena Gupta, who simplifies the story for the audience.

Which involves drama between the mother-daughter duo, chaotic love affairs, and hustling to get the work done, added with the glamour that comes with it. Moreover, you get a glimpse into the Bollywood industry, cameos from your favourite stars and much more. The series was well-appreciated by the audience who applauded actress Nina Gupta for her relatable character.
