Who are the two daemons?

We don’t really get to know a lot about the two daemons who start calling Yuru their master. But the information that gets revealed to us is that their names are Right and Left, and they are the guardians of the village.  Apparently, Yuru is their master whose orders are something that Right and Left must abide by. However, the way Yuru decided to use them was something that even surprised both these deities, who quickly accepted his orders.

How is Yuru as a hero?

As a traditional shonen hero, Yuru is definitely proving to be a memorable and well-written character. Just like other heroes of the author, Yuru is also someone with integrity and a sense of responsibility towards those he cares about. He is also pretty merciless when he needs to, as he was seen having no issues targeting Gabby when he realises she’s the one who killed many of the villagers.

What is the secret behind Asa’s attack?

It becomes clear in this episode that Asa was not the villain that we thought she would be. She did not come to the village and kill mercilessly just because she wanted to. There was a much bigger and more important meaning behind her actions, which had to do with her brother. Here, we get a massive twist when we learn that the new Asa is not the older version or a future self of the real Asa, but she is the real Asa.

The person who was pretending to be Yuru’s sister is nothing more than a fake entity. Apparently, it was created by the village to keep Yuru from leaving. They used his love for his sister to keep him within the barrier with this false information. Why they did this is something we have no idea of yet. After he understands the truth and because of the attacks that simultaneously caused the deaths of many, Yuru decides to leave the village temporarily.

What is the primary information that we get from this episode?

The most important aspect of this episode is definitely the fact that there is an organisation behind Asa. Not only that, but there is also a superior of Asa, who comes to rescue Asa and Gabby. And we get a sense that he is not at all fond of Dera. The moment he hears his name, he becomes very agitated and even states that he should have brought his daemons with him.

Who could be the most famous character from this anime?

Till now, some characters have had an impressive presence, and among them is definitely the hero Yuru. But apart from him, Dera, his subordinate and Jin could become famous in their own right. Dera and his subordinate might remind many of Roy Mustang and Lisa Hawkeye. Though this pair is definitely on that level, it would be interesting to see how they function in this story.

However, it is Left who might become extremely famous for her powerful personality and great strength.

How is the animation?

The animation is one of the strongest points of this anime, as the studio has done a really good job of depicting all the scenes. The makers also did not skimp on showcasing gore, and that definitely elevated this series to new heights.

Final thoughts

This is an anime that is hands down one of the best of this season’s lineup. The season has noticeably lacked a major shonen franchise, and this is gradually stepping into that role. There is still too much information left out to completely understand what is happening, but the story is interesting enough for the audience to get hooked.
