How did Yuru feel after coming out of the village?

For Yuru, this is a very alienating experience as he is coming out of a medieval village to the modern world for the first time. Previously, he got scared after seeing a car, and this time he became surprised after seeing modern clothes. Not only that, but when he saw a riceball, he completely lost his mind because the idea of having rice without any effort is too much for him.

However, even after being overwhelmed with all the new things, he asks Left and Right about everything they know about him and his sister.

To what extent, Left and Right knew about the village?

They make it clear that they only saw people going in and coming out of the village as they were guardians at the entrance. They also mentioned that even though Yuru was out, his sister was never allowed to go outside when they were young. However, one day, his parents ran out of the village in a panicked state with a young girl.

Yuru realised that he was the only one who had been abandoned by his parents.

Who were the people who tried to hunt the village down?

The people who killed almost everyone within the village came from the Kagemori clan. Apparently, this clan was made up of people from the village, but it now acts as a branch that carries different views from those living in the village.

Is the Kagemori clan dangerous?

From the way the Kagemori clan handles things, it becomes clear that they have a dangerous way of doing their work. After getting a request from someone to restrain her stalker, one of the members literally feeds the man to his demon. Later, he just lets his client know that the stalker was warned and let go.

Why are Dera and Hana working for the village?

Most likely, Dera and Hana do not know much about the village either. They both come from families that have helped the village people for generations from the outside. The only thing that they know is that they will have to take goods from the outside to the village and keep the twins protected at all costs.

What is the matter with being twins?

Right sheds some light on the issue of being born as twins. According to him, twins who are born dividing the day and night could be so powerful that their power would make others fight amongst each other and throw the world into chaos. Apparently, the last time it happened was 400 years ago, and then many problems took place in Japan.

What worked, and what did not work?

It is great that the episode has finally cleared up some details about the whole situation. We are yet to know why Asa did what she did, but at least now we know that even Yuru’s parents were against the village for some reason. The lore about twins was also very interesting, and we would need more insight into what kind of damage Yuru and Asa can cause.

The episodes are still pretty slow burn, and the pacing is not as fast as I would have wanted it to be.
