Call It Love Episode 7 Recap
Call It Love episode 7 starts in the past, with Dong-jin asking Hee-ja who the previous tenants of her house were. Hee-ja is extremely defensive, constantly promising that she doesn’t know who the previous tenants were. Frustrated, she lashes out, saying that he is exactly like his father and always blames her for everything happening to them. Dong-jin, annoyed and disappointed with his mother, leaves without another word.
Dong-jin later goes to the real estate agent to know more about the previous tenants, and she tells him about Woo-joo and her family, but without taking names. He asks her to inform him when she sees the tenant next, and, in the present, that’s what she does exactly.

Dong-jin rushes over to the real estate agent after getting the call while Woo-joo starts pounding on her old house to get answers from Hee-ja. At the real estate office, the woman directs Dong-jin to rush to the house to find the previous tenant while Woo-joo eggs her house, only for the police to show up. Unfortunately, Dong-jin is unable to get answers, as it turns out that he missed her by a few minutes.
Woo-joo, meanwhile, is at the police station after Hee-ja reported her for trespassing. After her aunt helps out of the station, however, she gets a piece of shocking news – the realtor told her that Dong-jin has been over at the office frequently in hopes of catching the previous owners and apologising to them personally while also promising to try and give the house back to them. Woo-joo is left shocked at the revelation, realising that she has been bothering Dong-jin for so long based on an incorrect hunch.
Woo-joo is racked with guilt afterwards, remembering all the times she has been nasty to Dong-jin for absolutely no reason. Meanwhile, Dong-jin, dejected after not getting to meet the previous owners, goes back to the office for a meeting with a magazine company. That night, Yoon Jun gets an ultimatum from his mother asking him to start dating, while Su-ho’s sweet gesture for Hae-sung leaves her heart warm.

Later that night, a vengeful Woo-joo waits outside Dong-jin’s apartment to try to talk to Min-young. When she does arrive, Woo-joo calls her selfish and a horrible person for making Dong-jin go through what she did and tells her to move out as soon as possible. Min-young, however, isn’t someone to back down easily and, instead of getting scared of the threats, asks her to accompany her for a drink. Min-young’s behaviour leaves Woo-joo confused, but she follows her anyway.
Meanwhile, Woo-joo’s sudden leave of absence leaves Dong-jin concerned, but he chooses not to contact her regardless of it. Later, Sun-woo spots Min-young and Woo-joo going to a bar together, and it turns out that Ji-gu has been living with Dong-jin after running away from home.
At the bar, Woo-joo emphasises that Min-young does need to move out. The latter doesn’t back down but agrees to settle it by asking Dong-jin one last time, and if he asks her to move out, then she will. Unfortunately for Woo-joo, she ends up carrying a drunk and unconscious Min-young home, sitting outside her door with her and staring at Dong-jin’s apartment after Min-young doesn’t wake up to tell her her security code.

The next morning, Woo-joo continues to take care of Min-young while Dong-jin comes out of the apartment and starts cleaning the multiple cans of beer that Woo-joo left lying on the floor the last night. Although she tries her level best to get out of the building without being seen, Dong-jin comes across her in the elevator anyway, and Woo-joo looks like a deer caught in headlights! The two of them get out of the apartment together, and outside, he asks her where she slept the other night.
She tells him that she was too drunk and thus stayed over at Min-young’s. The two of them later go to have breakfast together, after which Woo-joo explains everything to Dong-jin over coffee – she tells him that she was waiting for Min-young to tell her to move out. Dong-jin asks her why she would do that for him, and she says that because she can. In the end, she mentions that she wants him to be comfortable in his own home, unlike her, who was thrown out of her safe space.
The two start laughing together, and it’s quite cute watching them bond, although it’s clear that Woo-joo feels a huge amount of guilt for doing what she did to Dong-jin. As they walk to the office, Woo-joo is left shocked and asks Jun not to tell Dong-jin anything and promises to end it all.

Things between Dong-jin and Woo-joo continue to be awkward and tense, and Sun-woo catches him staring intently at her. Later on in the day, Woo-joo goes out for a drink with Yoon Jun while Sun-woo pulls Dong-jin’s leg about his crush on her. Later on, Ji-gu finds an old picture of Dong-jin with Hee-ja, and Dong-jin comes across Min-young in the elevator and asks her to stay at her place because he doesn’t care about her anymore.
Call It Love Episode 7 Ending
Meanwhile, Woo-joo and Jun get into a fight after he tells her that he called her mother and told her everything. Woo-joo asks him why this freaks him out so much since she doesn’t know what she feels – she just knows that she cares about Dong-jin a little bit more than everyone else in her life. Unable to believe what he is hearing and without any answers to give her, Jun leaves, and Woo-joo is left bereft, wondering what she is feeling for Dong-jin.
Call It Love Episode 7 Review

In spite of being a really slow episode, the show has some really sweet moments wherein you just want to reach out to the protagonists. In spite of that, though, the slow pacing and the horrendous colour grading (yes, I will mention this in every review) are really testing my patience. Maybe things will pick up soon; who knows?
Either way, I am waiting for a thrilling showdown between Dong-jin and Woo-joo when he finally realises who she is. Also, why is Woo-joo so scared of her mother? Or does she want to protect her mother, knowing that she is unwell? Plus, what is Min-young’s end goal here? Why can’t she take a no for an answer? Can anyone really be that manipulative? Who knows – we will just have to wait for the answers to those questions.
Call It Love is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
