Bigg Boss 20 Episode 22: Sunday’s Weekend Ka Vaar was messy in the way Bigg Boss Sundays usually are, but behind the celebrity appearance, laughter and eviction announcement, Salman Khan brought up the rising concern about AI-generated false videos.
The episode was a mixture of discussions surrounding: AI-generated videos; fake celebrity voices; words said which were explained later; a diss track that created the house-wide fallout; and somewhere with all of it going on, the Season 20 of Bigg Boss Hindi had its second eviction.

Salman Khan raised the problem that has quietly become almost impossible to ignore: AI-generated videos of celebrities being made and circulated with their voices being falsely used. The issue was not just that these videos exist, but it was the fact that they can be made to look convincing enough to mislead people.
Salman Khan was not talking about it as some “celebrity problem”. He rather pointed out the privilege that comes from being a celebrity: if their voice or image is misused, they can potentially approach the cyber cell, have people around them to help and possess the resources to pursue the matter, but for people who do not have any of it, it becomes even more terrifying.
That was the landing point, as someone with millions of followers might have a team, lawyers and access, but an ordinary person may just have a fake video floating around with their face and voice attached and have absolutely no idea where to begin. He criticised the people who make these videos and drew attention to the larger ecosystem that allows such content to spread.
The conversation felt like a continuation of something Bigg Boss Hindi had already started addressing during a previous Weekend Ka Vaar: trolling.
Aman Is Confronted Over The Kanika Mann Comment
Aman was questioned about his comment regarding Kanika Mann’s face during a task in the episode. A video of him talking about Kanika having done a facial procedure was played during the episode. Aman tried to explain the context, saying that he was just saying that he thought it was so, and he mentioned that he was not sure.
Eventually, Aman apologised to Kanika, admitting that he should not have made any such comment. Kanika accepted the apology while making it clear that he should not have said it in the first place. Even though an apology does not magically erase a sentence, it can at least
Rhiti Tiwari’s Diss Track Fallout Continues
Saturday’s Weekend Ka Vaar had already put Rhiti Tiwari under the spotlight for her diss track aimed at Uditi Singh and Qazi Touqeer, for which she was reprimanded. Salman Khan called it the “worst diss”. He also called out other housemates for not taking a stand against it and, in some cases, supporting Rhiti afterwards.
Qazi was the exception: he stood up, and the host praised him for that.
In Sunday’s episode, Salman Khan advised Rhiti to start afresh. Rhiti, however, seemed to feel the weight of everything after the host left. She broke down, and the housemates gathered around her to comfort her.
There was something almost strange about watching the same house that had been caught in the middle of the conflict become a support system, trying to make her understand things.
Isha Rikhi Becomes Bigg Boss Season 20’s Second Eviction
Isha Rikhi and Yung DSA were the two nominated contestants, and this time it was Isha who got eliminated from Bigg Boss 20, marking the season’s second eviction. Gullu was seen bidding her goodbye and telling her to be strong in life.
During a task this week, the contestants with two lifelines had to rank themselves and with the majority deciding to put Isha Rikhi in the tenth spot, her one lifeline was lost, leaving her with just one. Thus, she was eliminated due to fewer votes.
The Promotions Bring Stars And Fun on the Set
Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat joined Salman Khan in Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 22 to promote Dishyam, which is releasing on October 2, and the segment brought some much-needed goofy energy to the episode.
Qazi Touqeer was asked to perform his now-trending “I am a Rockstar baby” step while Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn joked about the “difficult steps” they themselves perform.
Gullu was also asked to translate a dialogue into English, which resulted in giggles and laughter that Weekend Ka Vaar desperately needed after the emotional heaviness.
Further, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Raghubir Yadav also appeared to promote their recently released Hunkkaar: The Roar. Fatima’s appearance had a particularly interesting connection to the larger conversation of the episode. She spoke about how Salman called out trolls during an earlier Weekend Ka Vaar and acknowledged how significant it is when someone with his reach stands against online trolling, and thanked Salman Khan.
Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 22 Was About What We Choose
The episode did not have a central controversy. Somewhere between all of the chaos, Bigg Boss, a reality show built around watching people and constructing narratives, spent an entire episode talking about how narratives are built in different ways.
Episode 22 had Isha Rikhi walking out of the house; Rhiti picking herself back up again; Aman apologising to Kanika; and celebrities coming in with their movie and series, adding fun to the already heavy episode.
Perhaps the real question is not “what is real” but “who gets believed when reality is being manufactured.
