Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 20: The final round of Bigg Boss’ third captaincy began with people passing balls around and ended with people questioning boundaries, intent, friendships, and, somewhere, the understanding of one another.

The reverse campaign task continued, slowly narrowing down the contenders for captaincy, but what started as another round of strategic voting eventually gave way to uncomfortable confrontation between Yung DSA and Qazi Touqeer, with the new captain being selected, and Rhiti Tiwari found herself talking about a part of her childhood that still carries weight.
One half of the episode was who gets to be in the captaincy race and who gets the captaincy ball, while the other half was why it suddenly feels bigger than a game.
The Reverse Campaign Continues, And Aasif Is Out of the Race
The reverse campaign task continued with the housemates having to cast their “rejecting votes” by putting the rejection stamps on the contenders they wanted out of the race.
Rejection stamps came from:
- For Amrapali – Arishfa Khan and Qazi Touqeer
- For Mary Kom – nobody opposed her
- For Scout OP – Arishfa Khan and Gullu
The voting eventually had Aasif Khan facing the maximum rejection, which meant his stay in the race ended. There were now six contestants (Mary Kom, Amrapali Dubey, Rhiti Tiwari, Yung DSA, Scout OP and Love Gill) who were asked to decide among them the names of three contenders to move forward in the race. All the other housemates were asked to leave Room No. 20 while these 6 remained.
The decided names were Mary Kom, Rhiti Tiwari, and Love Gill and then came a giant ball.
The Captaincy Task Becomes More Than A Ball Game
For the final round, the housemates were divided into pairs and made to stand inside hoops in the garden area while passing a giant ball.
The pairs were:
- Arishfa Khan and Kanika Mann
- Qazi Touqeer and Yung DSA
- Aman Gandhi and Scout OP
- Uditi Singh and Isha Rikhi
- Amrapali Dubey and Mahi Vij
Bigg Boss announced that Gullu was also a part of the race and could defend his captaincy. The housemates had to pass the ball in the same order of hoops while making sure that the ball with the photo of the “davedar” they wanted to become the captain was put in the green goal.
The game was largely in the hands of Amrapali and Mahi as they stood in the fifth hoop. Gullu, Mary Kom and Love Gill had the giant balls with their picture in the green goal, thus passing the round
The Final Stand-Off
The final round of the captaincy task was more about “who chose to stand where”. Gully, Mary Kom, and Love Gill were placed in three separate hoops, and the housemates had to physically stand beside the contestant they supported. The division was telling!
Gullu had the largest support, with Qazi Touqeer, Aman Gandhi, Kanika Mann, Isha Rikhi, Arishfa Khan and Mahi Vij standing beside him. Love Gill had Scout OP, Yung DSA, Amrapali Dubey and Aasif Khan on her side, and Mary Kom only had Rhiti Tiwari.
The irony was that this was not quite how things looked earlier. Before the housemates knew Gullu himself was a contender, the larger group around him was supporting Mary Kom. Even Amrapali was seen telling Rhiti, when she asked for support, that she would support Mary Kom and not even Love Gill. Mary Kom seemed to have a large backing of a bigger group until Gullu entered the race. The formation of people around each hoop tells largely how the house is currently divided.
Yung DSA and Qazi Touqeer’s Fight Turns the Task Uncomfortable
The most uncomfortable point of the task came when Yung DSA and Qazi Touqeer got into a physical confrontation over the giant ball. Yung was sitting on the ball when Qazi tried to take it away. During the struggle, Qazi was also seen doing what he said were “push-ups”, while the situation around the two contestants became increasingly heated.
Several housemates objected to what they felt was “inappropriate behaviour” at Qazi’s end, and then Yung got hurt. This changed the entire environment, and the housemates themselves appeared to be drawing the line in the episode. Even Uditi stepped in to make Qazi understand the situation.
The arguments did not exactly become peaceful communication. When Isha Rikhi tried telling Qazi that Yung had been hurt and that his actions were wrong, Qazi shouted at her, and that seemed to hit her particularly. She responded immediately, asking him not to shout at her, but was later seen breaking down. She did not accept the apology when Qazi came to say sorry for shouting at her.
The confrontation also drew a strong reaction from Rhiti, who told Qazi, “Shame on you” and extended it towards those supporting him.
Qazi maintained that there was no “double meaning” behind what he had done and said he did not intend anything of that sort. The episode was not simply presenting a clean version of the incident, but there was the action itself, the interpretation and the discomfort around it.
Rhiti Tiwari’s Breaks Down Speaking About Her Childhood
While speaking with Amrapali Dubey, Rhiti Tiwari broke down as she recalled her childhood and parents’ separation. She spoke about her parents divorcing when she was nine years old and how she did not get to spend as much time with her father, Manoj Tiwari, as she wanted to.
Rhiti recalled that she was around eight when her parents separated and nine when their divorce was legally completed. Amrapali asked whether her father fought for her custody, and that question seemed to strike something deep. Rhiti spoke about how her father had fought for her custody but lost it. She remembered trying to make every meeting with him count, spending as much time as possible and even teaching him English. Rhiti also spoke about being genuinely happy when Surbhi (aka Surbhi Tiwari) entered her father’s life.
Episode 20 Had Two Different Worlds of Conflict
On one side, the episode had a literal fight over the ball, while on the other, there was a daughter remembering her childhood when time with her father was something she had to make the most of.
Bigg Boss puts people into a house, gives them games, nominations, captaincies and alliances, and then slowly takes away the conveniences of normal life. People start reacting not just to the task but to everything happening inside them.
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 20 had the captaincy race move forward with Gullu, Mary Kom, and Love Gill as the final contenders and Gullu emerging as the winner. With this, Gullu would continue as the captain for Week 3.
The Weekend Ka Vaar episodes are scheduled for September 26 and September 27, when Salman Khan will appear, have fun games, and debrief the week. Isha Rikhi and Yung DSA are the two nominated contestants with one life each, which means one of them will be evicted this weekend, unless a twist appears.
