Wind Breaker Episode 10 Recap

In today’s episode, we witness the aftermath of the significant battle, with things returning to their usual state. Ume surprises everyone by being the first to dismiss the spectators in the hall, who had come to watch the fight. Most had assumed that following his victory, Ume would assert his leadership over Shishitoren and punish Choji and Jo for instigating the conflict.

Contrary to these expectations, Ume stays true to his character. Instead of taking a path of dominance, he suggests they all order takeout and celebrate together, which they do on a terrace. During this gathering, Jo sincerely apologizes, dropping to his knees to express deep remorse for his and his boss’s actions. Choji follows suit, admitting his mistakes and asking for a fitting punishment.

Recognizing Sakura’s soft-hearted nature, Ume delegates the task of deciding their punishment to Sakura. Sakura, in turn, opts for leniency, telling them to avoid being foolish and to strive to be cooler. This episode highlights why Ume has risen to a leadership position in Bofurin. He explains to Choji that his joy in leadership comes from creating a safe environment where everyone can enjoy good food together, and this drives him to do good deeds. Ume emphasizes the importance of teamwork, reminding Sakura that no one can achieve true leadership alone.

Sakura recalls Kotoha’s advice upon his arrival, noting that one cannot reach the top by working alone. Ume’s rise to leadership was supported by his peers, who shared his vision and helped him achieve his position.
