Under the Queen’s Umbrella Episode 6 Reactions: Fans are Concerned for Grand Heir’s Well-Being

Nearing the first half’s closure, Under the Queen’s Umbrella Episode 6 (슈룹) hit us right in the feels as the palace grieved the death of the Crown Prince but despite the moment being high on emotions, Kim Hye-soo’s Queen Hwa-ryeong can’t seem to catch a break. Pushing her deeper into Chief Councilor Won-hyeong’s conspiracy, she’s also cornered by Queen Dowager as her secret of meeting up with the deposed Queen is out.

At the same time, the new episode brings out some new revelations like the Crown Princess and her son’s lives becoming the next target. Fans instantly called out the court officials, or whoever is actually responsible for the death of the Crown Prince, for preying on the innocent young boy who barely knows anything of this politics at his age. However, the mood wasn’t entirely grim this time around. With the onset of the Grand Princes’ training, we got to witness some cute moments shared between the siblings that lit up the mood as opposed to the gloomy backdrop of the current circumstances.

The Crown Prince’s death has also pushed the image of both the King (Choi Won-young) and Queen’s mutual respect for each other to the forefront. Viewers are loving this change in a historical setting wherein the King is wholeheartedly supporting the Queen despite being met with backlash from the court officials on multiple accounts.

And of course, our weekly raving about the show can’t be over without praising the suave Grand Prince Seong-nam (Moon Sang-min) and looks like we’re not the only ones falling for his charms after all. Both the Chief Councilor and his daughter are the Presidents of Grand Prince Seong-nam Fanclub. While the former can get enough of his eccentric thought process, the latter can’t help but swoon over how handsome he is.

This episode once again hinted at Yoo Seon-ho’s Grand Prince Gye-seong’s identity crisis, a positively included detail as it confirms that his story wasn’t just deemed a passing affair to be forgotten the next week. Grand Prince Muan’s (Yoon Sang-hyun) unconventional drive of getting away from the affluent ways of his family and just wanting to live an unrestrained life of freedom, with his prime goal of getting married, cheers up the audience every time around.
