Everything to Know About Lupin Part 4 Before the Netflix Release On October 23

Everything to Know About Lupin Part 4: Assane Diop, a man who can make stealing a priceless piece of jewellery look like something charming, is returning on Netflix in Lupin Part 4 on October 23.

Lupin Season 4 is officially arriving on Friday, October 23, 2026, with Omar Sy returning as Assane Diop, four years after the events of Part 3. If you have been waiting to see what happens after the Part 3 episodes, here is everything you need to know about Lupin Part 4, including its release date, cast, plot and the creative team.

Everything to Know About Lupin Part 4: What Is It About?

Four years after Part 3, when Assane Diop ended up in prison, he is still there. The man who has spent years using his intelligence, disguises and knowledge of Arsene Lupin to outsmart his enemies seems to be serving his sentence and more. As per Netflix Tudum, Diop has made a promise to his son and intends to reunite with his family in Senegal. However, there is a mysterious announcement signed by “Lupin”, who, according to Diop, is no more, declaring that several museums will be targeted in simultaneous heists. Even with maximum security, the robberies happen.

The hook? Assane Diop insists that he has nothing to do with the robberies and is innocent, but the evidence suggests otherwise. In fact, the surveillance footage shows him in one of the museums during the robbery that seriously injures Captain Belkacem. To clear his name, Diop has to escape and uncover the identity of the person imitating him.

The premise seems to give the fourth part an interesting starting point. Assane Diop’s next moves are yet to be known as the episodes of the latest season arrive.

Lupin Part 4 Release Date

Lupin Part 4 premieres on Netflix on October 23, 2026, with all eight episodes releasing on the same day. Viewers can therefore watch the entire season at their own pace, rather than spending weeks waiting for what is next!

The new part arrives four years after Part 3 concluded, bringing Assane Diop back into the spotlight after an eventful attempt to serve his term in prison.

Lupin Part 4 Cast

Omar Sy returns as Assane Diop, the charismatic thief at the centre of the series. His performance has been central to the show’s appeal, balancing the confidence and quick thinking with the vulnerabilities of a man whose choices repeatedly affect his family.

The cast list also includes Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab, Shirine Boutella, Théo Christine, and Laïka Blanc-Francard alongside Oman Sy.

Who Is Behind Lupin Part 4?

The series is created by George Kay, in collaboration with François Uzan, with the participation of Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer and Tigran Rosine.

The showrunners are Omar Sy and Louis Leterrier, while the series is produced by Gaumont in collaboration with Carrousel Studios. The show’s inspiration comes from “Arsène Lupin”, the character created by Maurice Leblanc.

What to Expect From Lupin Part 4?

Part 4 puts Assane Diop in a rather difficult position. Diop has to identify the one who is using his identity to carry out crimes that he claims he did not commit. The prison setting also changes the circumstances, as he cannot simply function as he normally would, especially when his stated goal is to serve his sentence and keep his promise to his son.

Would his escape mean abandoning that plan and stepping back into a life he was trying to leave behind?

There is also another interesting idea. If someone can reproduce the Lupin persona and leave behind evidence implicating Assane, identifying the copycat will require more than just a clever disguise to understand the person’s motives and work out how they managed to stay ahead of him, perhaps. For long-time viewers and fans, the question might not just be whether Assane Diop can pull off another rather impossible trick but whether he can work out who has taken over his identity before the consequences become irreversible.

Lupin Part 4 Gets Assane Diop Back For New Episodes

Lupin Season 4 brings Assane Diop back for the eight new episodes, with Omar Sy returning to the role that has made the French crime drama a global hit. Now, with a copycat thief, multiple museum robberies and an escape from prison at the centre of the story, the new season has plenty of trouble waiting for the gentleman thief.

All eight episodes arrive on Netflix on October 23, 2026, which is a Friday, arriving perfectly for the weekend binge. Keep your eyes on the diamonds, but on Diop too. Who knows what happens when!
