The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
The Uncanny Counter season 2 episode 6 begins with Jo-seok’s escape from prison and his confrontation with So Mun who is shocked upon seeing him with an evil spirit. He tries to stop Jo-seok from leaving and pleads to let him get rid of the evil spirit however, Jo-seok refuses and escapes from there after trapping So Mun and leaving him distracted by the guards.
This incident is sensed by Ha-na who rushes out with the others and tells them about Jo-seok. Elsewhere, Pil-gwang keeps an eye on Jo-seok and prepares to welcome a new teammate. Ha-na and the others rush to the treatment facility while Mo-tak checks on Park Seong-uk who is Jo-seok’s target.

Mo-tak assures them that Jo-seok hasn’t come to the facility yet meanwhile detectives arrive at his house and let his mother know about what has happened. They then decide to keep an eye on Jo-seok house, unaware that he is already inside and meeting his mother for the last time.
Jo-seok finishes his secret farewell and leaves, only to see the detectives surround him. Jo-seok uses his new-found powers and renders them unable to hurt him, however, he does not kill anyone. His mother witnesses this and rushes behind him only to be unable to stop her son.

So Mun and Ha-na soon arrive there and find Jo-seok’s mother gasping for air. Ha-na senses Jo-seok’s presence and is shocked to see that he can communicate with her through the territory. He tells her to stop getting in his way while Ha-na fails to stop him even by letting him know about his mother’s condition.
Later, the Counters gather and discuss this situation with the spirits who let them know that the moment Jo-seok kills someone is when he will completely turn evil. With hope in front of their eyes, the Counters get busy once again. Meanwhile, So Mun tells Wi-gen about how Jo-seok seemed weird during the trial.

Wi-gen tells him that someone must have provoked him for Jo-seok to come to this point and So Mun soon thinks of someone. Later, So Mun accompanies Jo-seok’s mother in the hospital and tells Ha-na that she would be getting surgery soon. Meanwhile, Jo-seok is looking at the hospital from afar when Gelly arrives and tries to instigate him.
Gelly then touches a nerve when she mentions Jo-seok’s wife and child which angers him and puts Gelly in a tough spot. He then leaves when Gelly and Pil-gwang discuss his situation which seems to be getting more favourable for them as they saw him speaking to Ha-na through the territory.
The next day, Mo-tak’s colleague is anxious due to Jo-seok’s case while So Mun and Jeong-beok make their way to the hospital while Ha-na, Mae-ok and Jang-mul discuss the situation. They come to the conclusion that Jo-seok might come to the hospital and connect with So Mun when Jeong-beok smells a familiar odour.

They understand that Pil-gwang has gone to the hospital to harm Jo-seok’s mother so that he can provoke his rage further. They understand that it was Pil-gwang who has provoked him in prison and with this the two rush to the hospital. Meanwhile, Pil-gwang barges into the surgery room and proceeds to harm Jo-seok’s mother when So Mun put activated the territory.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 6 Ending
Mae-ok soon saves the woman and everyone let out a sigh of relief. Elsewhere, Mo-tak finds an ingrate with the same tattoo as the one that was on the person from the laundromat. He asks about it and later finds out the details of the same from his junior. With this, Mae-ok and Ha-na make their way to the tattoo studio and luckily come across the man who was at the laundromat.

Ha-na gets all the details from the man, however, his name surprises Mae-ok who remembers it to be the same as the first person she had saved. Meanwhile, the Counters discuss the memories of the man and find out that the other suspect in the laundering case who was thought to be dead is actually alive.
Gelly and Pil-gwang too know about this and have been trying to get their hands on him. Elsewhere, Jeong-beok is keeping an eye on the treatment facility when he detects the familiar odour and lets everyone else know. Unfortunately, Pil-gwang has already taken Park Seong-uk and let Jo-seok know about the same through the territory.

Ha-na too finds out about this and tells the rest who now rush to save Jo-seok from this trap. Unfortunately, they arrive late and Park Seong-uk is already in Jo-seok’s hand and he has already seen his memory of the time when he killed Min-ji.
So Mun and Ha-na try to stop him and tell him about Min-ji’s real killer but Jo-seok is not ready to accept the truth and kills Park Seong-uk. He then pushes away the two and Ha-na ends up injured while So Mun is shocked and now also angry. He tells Jo-seok that he has now given up on reasoning with him and will now make sure to stop him in any way possible.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Episode 6 Review
Episode 6 brings us to the end of the first half of this incredible show and it was definitely worth the wait, even though we are now left with a week-long wait to know what happens next. But this doesn’t let down our excitement one bit because we know that even this wait will be worth it all.
This episode has brought us to some intense scenes today and also some special memories from the past which left us with unnamed emotions. Meanwhile, it seems like the real villain is now here and it was non-other than the one who has been so close to So Mun.
This season is really bringing up our expectations with such episodes and I am now eagerly looking forward to the second half of this show.
