A Love Other Than Yours Episode 13 Review
The One-Month Experiment Comes to an End
The episode begins right from where it left us off: Ho and Su-a almost kissing. As Tae-seung and Mi-do watch it, both Ho and Su-a stop to realise what’s going on. Tae-seung walks away with Su-a, leaving Mi-do and Ho alone. At a cafe, he tells Su-a to end things with Ho, as neither he nor Mi-do is over each other.
Su-a also realises that. The one-month dating experiment has finally reached its saturation point. What was started to help them understand their true feelings has only complicated things for Su-a and Tae-seung. Highly sad.

Ten Years of Unspoken Guilt
The real turning point starts when Mi-do’s brother Yeong-do learns what’s going on and confronts Ho. The argument reaches the point where Ho reveals that all these years he stood by Mi-do and her family because he believes that her father died saving him. This shows that he wasn’t just in love, but the guilt was holding him near her.
Ho admits that he wasn’t too happy, meaning all these years could’ve been just rooted in guilt and obligation. Is it just Ho? Nope, Mi-do as well. She also confesses that she feels responsible for her dad’s death and has been using Ho as a way to hide her guilt. Their relationship starts to look like a love story that never began but was just covering their sins.

The Hug That Changes Everything
The best moving moment happens when Mi-do hugs Ho and tells him that he did nothing wrong. After spending 10 years together out of guilt and obligation, the two realise the burden they’ve been carrying. They acknowledge their shared pain and how it shaped their relationship.
Their childhood tragedy brought them together, but it should never have decided the rest of their lives. The scene is heartbreaking precisely because they clearly care about each other. Yet, their bond isn’t organic but out of guilt and shame.

Su-a’s Promise and Tae-seung’s Farewell
Su-a makes her decision. She promises him that she will keep loving him even if he marries Mi-do. Even when Ho tells her to step back, he hears her confess this, showing how much she truly loves him.
Meanwhile, Mi-do and Tae-seung share a goodbye hug, showing that they both acknowledge their relationship coming to an end. We then see a cameo of Lee Sang-yi, who acts as Mi-do’s old acquaintance. As she talks to him, we see how she’s started to reflect on her life’s new journey.

To Wrap Up
As the finale is en route, the drama has finally shifted its focus from making the viewers worry about who is ending up with whom to what’s going to happen to the characters. Will Ho and Mi-do join despite their confessions? Will Ho and Su-a marry given the latter has promised to stay in love? Will Mi-do finally drive towards her dream? Well, one last episode has all the answers.

Episode 13 is a quietly heartbreaking last chapter. It gives its characters the honesty they have needed for years. Hopefully, the series ends on a sensible note because it has already caused too much frustration at this point.
