Series Overview

The Golden Spoon (금수저) is a drama-thriller TV series directed by Song Hyun-wook and stars Yook Sung-jae, Lee Jong-won, Jung Chae-yeon, Yeon Woo and Choi Dae-chul, alongside other cast members.

The series takes over MBC’s Friday-Saturday 10 PM KST timeslot, previously occupied by Big Mouth. The series is based on the webcomic Geumsujeo by gp04fb on Naver.

Lee Seung-cheon is a poor student whose family isn’t able to afford much. Tired of not being able to enjoy the niceties of life, Seung-cheon meets a mysterious old woman who gives him a mysterious golden spoon. He can use the spoon to switch lives with another person, but he only gets three chances to make up his mind. So, will Seung-cheon choose his own family or give it all away for a life of wealth and luxury?

The Golden Spoon Plot

Disney+ synopsis of the show reads: “A child from a poor family acquires a “golden spoon” that can swap him with his rich friend and allow him a life that he always dreamed of.”

The series will stream from September 23 to November 12, 2022, at 10 PM KST on MBC. The Golden Spoon episode 10 will release on October 22, 2022, at 8 PM IST on Disney+.

The Golden Spoon Episode 10 Predictions

Seung-cheon is ready to face off Hyun-do while Tae-yong has found out about the golden spoon and wants to know more about it. Seung-cheon accepts the interview with Ju-hee but this brings forth a jealous Yeo-jin who does not like this. Elsewhere, Ju-hee tries to find the blazer which is evidence while Jun-tae asks for the impossible.

However, Seung-cheon has another surprise waiting for him.

The Golden Spoon Episode 9 Recap

Seung-cheon is back in town with a new look that is leaving everyone surprised. Shocking Ju-hee and Tae-yong who are secretly investigating the gambling taking place in Amikus but because of this distraction, they are caught and thrown out. However, Seung-cheon saves them from Jun-tae by facing humiliation himself.

Seung-cheon continues to surprise everyone while scandals about him break out each day with Jun-tae pushing the waves each time he can. On the other hand, Ju-hee is still trying to investigate her father’s death while Tae-yong’s job search never ends.

Seung-cheon is followed by another paparazzi while he enters a hotel with a woman who turns out to be Mun-ki after the doors of the room close. Inside this room is a secret office of the company run by Seung-cheon as Mun-ki reveals the struggles he has had to face in recent years after Seung-cheon leaves.

Later, Seung-cheon throws a big bomb on Doshin group which makes its stock prices plummet as he swoops in to buy them right then. Hyun-do remembers his talks with him a few days back which makes him realise that this is all Seung-cheon’s plans.

Impressed by him, he supports Seung-cheon during the board meeting while the latter reveals all the corruption associated with Jun-tae in recent years. Having gotten such a blow, Jun-tae reveals to Ju-hee that her father’s blood was found on “Hwang Tae-yong’s” blazer.

She is shocked and goes to Seung-cheon with a request for an interview which he accepts.
