The Elephant Whisperers Trailer: Kartiki Gonsalves’ Directorial Debut Is an Affectionate Short Documentary About Wildlife

Netflix has brought out the trailer of a new stirring short documentary, The Elephant Whisperers today. Kartik Gonsalves’s directorial debut is produced by Guneet Monga and Achin Jain under the banner of Sikhya Entertainment.

The documentary captures the journey of an indigenous couple looking after an orphaned elephant, Raghu. It unravels the story of how they relentlessly work to ensure Raghu’s recovery and survival and eventually develop affection and love for the majestic creature. Set against the background of life in the wild spaces of South India The Elephant Whisperers highlights the beauty of exotic wildlife, unforgettable wild spaces, the people and animals who share this space. The short documentary will premiere on Netflix on 8th December 2022.

Talking about the short documentary, debutant director Kartiki Gonsalves said, “Completing this film has been a dream come true. I’ve always felt a deep connection to our natural world. I am so privileged to tell this special story of Bomman and Bellie and their elephant calf, Raghu.”
