Directed by Jeff Wadlow, the story is by John R Morey and Todd Berger, and the screenplay is by Robert Rugan and Todd. The runtime is of 120 minutes.
The synopsis reads, “A father (Marlon Wayans) and his teenage daughter (Priah Ferguson) are forced to team up and save their town after an ancient and mischievous spirit causes Halloween decorations to come to life and wreak havoc.”

In Netflix’s The Curse of Bridge Hollow, Howard movies with his wife Emily and daughter Sydney from Brooklyn to Bridge Hollow town during the Halloween season. Howard is unhappy to see the town decorated with scary figures and is completely in the mood for Halloween. He isn’t a fan of the festival.
A mistake by Howard and his daughter reignite the curse of the town. The Halloween decorations (scary monsters, zombies, spiders, clowns) come to life. It is upon Sydney and Howard to save the Bridge Hollow people. Will they find the root cause of everything and succeed in their mission? We find out in the end.
The Curse of Bridge Hollow is presented as a horror comedy but is underwhelming in both aspects. Even if you are interested in why the Halloween decoration is coming to life to haunt people, the story doesn’t have any thrilling or exciting moments. In horror movies, the characters often run away from danger. Here also, the characters, especially kids, run and scream when the clowns try to attack them. However, the entire sequence was turned into comedy which wasn’t funny at all.

The humour falls flat, and the horror is too lame. Even the clowns and spiders don’t look creepy. Maybe it’s a movie for kids under the age of 10. But they won’t understand what’s happening because of the weak story. Would the movie be intriguing if it was an out-and-out horror story where decorations wreak havoc? Well, it would’ve made for an amazing watch if done right.
Coming to performances, Marlon Wayans has tried his best to be funny. But the weak dialogues don’t do justice to his performance as Howard. Priah Ferguson has played a smart and confident Erica in Stranger Things. Priah’s character Sydney is equally smart, sans the sassiness. The rest of the cast doesn’t have much to add to the story but plays their parts well.
The Curse of Bridge Hollow Review: Final Thoughts
Overall, Netflix’s latest addition to the Halloween movies list is average. It fails to pack enough laughs or even scares.

BORED SO BORED EVEN BORED WOULD BE BORED, did not laught ONCE nor be scared, the dad of that girl does he need to be on screen with her like 70% of the movie, everthing he does NOT SO FUNNY, he was funny in the show marley and me, but here is bad script, or include the mom or rest of town a bit more, the guy dressed himself from the walking dead he could be in the movie with a gun, now the kids she meet at the start, i tought its gonna be like stranger things, the kids fighting evil, BUT NOOO the way its done here (the movie) made me thinking of stabbing myself, thats had been more scary and funnier, and the people in the movie the ghost and demons hunts is only those 6, not showing other in the town been hunted?!!

The movie was ass tbh, it had woke bs in it as well like “white privlage” , the “Coexist” religion symbol, and the movie was targeted for kids mostly. This shit is sad tbh, entertainment is ruined these days bruh.????
Why were there several racial comments in a children’s movie. Father said we are moving in a white privlige town. And there was , from the father, why does the house smell like a dead white lady. So sad.

Why were there no warnings about the racist comments – most movies now a days have a warning, children are endlessly reminded at school not to make any comments that could be taken as racist but 2 mins in this film there are these unnecessary comments.
