The Archies: Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda and the Gang is All Hugs On Last Day of Filming

The Archies is the upcoming romantic comedy set in the fictional town of Riverdale in the 60s. In some exciting news, the crew has finished filming and we can’t wait to see them on-screen! The film is an adaptation of the globally loved Archie Comics and has the iconic gang – Archie, Betty, Dilton, Ether, Jughead, Reggie and Veronica at the centre of it.

The film is filled with the youthful energy, hope and excitement synonymous with the swinging 1960s. Starring Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Yuvraj Menda, Agastya Nanda and Vedang Raina in key roles, The film is produced by Tiger Baby, Graphic India and Archie Comics and is directed by Zoya Akhtar, while the screenplay is adapted by Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar & Ayesha Devitre.

The film is said to be a musical experience bursting with youth, rebellion, friendships, first loves and everything about young adults. The creators have said that the film will have something for every generation and with the comics being reimagined in India, the audience is eager to know what the story will entail.

In the post shared by Netflix India, it can be seen that the crew wrapped up their schedule on the 16th and celebrated the moment by cutting the cake. In the picture, Zoya Akhtar can be seen cutting the cake with the cast of the film. While in other pictures everyone is seen wearing maroon and green t-shirts with the Archies graphics on them.

Also, right on time for the festive season of the year, the cast is seen posing in front of what seems like Christmas decorations. Although a release date is not set for the film, from the set we can infer there might be some heartwarming festive scenes as well. The main cast mostly consists of newcomers and thus the anticipation is high as it would mark the starting point of their careers.

Previously, a cast announcement video was released where we caught the first glimpse of each character and the bonding between the characters. The film is expected to have a digital release on Netflix.
