Spy x Family Season 2 Episode 3 Preview: Spy x Family Season 2 (スパイファミリー) is directed by Takahiro Harada and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, replacing Kazuhiro Furuhashi as both the director and writer. Produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, the anime series is based on the manga series of the same name authored by Tatsuya Endo. The opening theme song is Kurakura (クラクラ) by Ado and the ending theme song is Todome no Ichigeki (トドメの一撃) by Vaundy feat. Cory Wong.

The plot of the series revolves around a family of three, who hide their identities from each other. It consists of an undercover spy, Twilight, with the alias, Loid Forger. His adopted daughter who has telepathic abilities, Anya Forger and his wife Yor Forger, an assassin known as the Thorn Princess, and the family dog Bond with precognitive power.

(K)now Name gives the music, and character designs by Kazuaki Shimada, while Kazuaki Shimada alongside Kyoji Asano are chief animation directors. The series is licensed for streaming by Crunchyroll outside of Asia, while it is distributed by Muse Communication in South and Southeast Asia.

The second season of the series will continue to follow Twilight who will further try to make contact with Desmond to ensure the peace of the East and West. However, his only way to establish a rapport with him is by making Anya an Imperial Scholar and attending the annual party where Desmond will be present. But Anya has to achieve all eight Stella stars which seems more than impossible. On the other hand, Loid has to maintain a genuine relationship with Yor to not let anyone grow suspicious of his made-up family.

The lead characters, Loid Foger, Anya Forger and Yor Forger will be reprising their roles. Additionally, Bond Forger will also be a permanent character. Franky Franklin, Damian Desmond, Becky Blackbell, Sylvia Sherwood, Henry Henderson, Yuri Briar, Fiona Frost, Donovan Desmond and others will be recurring characters throughout the series.

However, the most important part of the mission is for Anya to gather all the eight Stella stars so that they can attend the annual party organised by the school where Desmond will also be present. In the previous episode, the family dog, Bond, joins Twilight on his mission. The dog’s motive was to bring Loid home faster so that he could cook for Bond. But Loid thinks that Bond is trying to take revenge on the lab that conducted experiments on him. The misunderstanding creates some hilarious moments but they both complete the objective with each other’s help.

On the other hand, Damian studies extra hard to score good marks in his exams which results in him waking up late in the morning. As a punishment, he is made to do several chores in the hostel. However, he is also made to go on a field trip along with his lackeys. The punishment turned into a wonderful experience as his mind could relax after days of studying.
