Revenant Episode 2 Reactions: Viewers Felt the Chills Witnessing Kim Tae-ri’s Evil Smile

The new hit series Revenant episode 2 reactions are pouring after a chilling scene. The Korean drama, originally titled as 악귀 (Akwyi) is a Korean supernatural mystery thriller about a student possessed by a demon, a teacher who can see the devil and an investigator who gets caught in the mess because of the two. Directed by Lee Jung-rim and Kim Jae-hong, the drama stars Kim Tae-ri, Oh Jung-se, Hong Kyung, Yang Hye-ji, Kim Shin-bi, and Jin Seon-kyu, alongside other cast members.

The drama brings the story of the poor student Ku San-young who gets possessed by a demon. She then meets teacher Yeom Hae-sang who possesses the ability to see demons since childhood. He recognises the demon possessing San-young as the one who killed his mother and is now wreaking havoc around her. There is also the investigator Lee Hong-sae who gets caught in the mess by the two.

The show will have 12 episodes and be broadcasted on SBS’ Friday-Saturday 22:00 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Dr Romantic season 3. Revenant episode 1 has a run time of 87 minutes.

Kim Tae-ri was last seen in the immensely popular Twenty-One Twenty-Two in the lead role of Na Hee-do, while Oh Jung-se was last seen in Sweet Home season 2 as Dr Lim. Revenant takes over SBS’ Friday-Saturday 22:00 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Dr Romantic season 3.

In the recent episode, San-young rushes out of the teenager’s home after seeing late Hyunwoo’s apparition. She learns from the teenagers that Hyunwoo jumped off the school building after notifying them about his house. Ever since then, the teenagers have been receiving calls from the dead Hyunwoo where he mentions his sibling who is non-existent.

Somehow, Hae-sang and San-young find the sibling trapped inside Hyunwoo’s house through his guidance. Then, the spirit of Hyunwoo rests in peace. After days, San-young gets possessed by the evil spirit, and when she comes back to her senses, she witnesses a doll in her hand. San-young runs out of that place and comes across a mirror where she looks at the evil spirit within her. Trusting her instincts, she runs to her paternal grandmother’s house. However, it’s too late because the evil spirit mimics San-young and kills her grandmother.

Both Hae-sang and San-young determine to find out more about the cursed object. And after a night full of searches, they come across a town similar to the map that San-young drew. Then the evil spirit’s flashback is introduced a little before the episode closes.

In the second episode, the scenes where the possessed San-young acts devilish has amazed the audience. Kim Tae-ri grim expressions made the K-town spread the word about the series. Here are some of the reactions from the viewers.
