The situation becomes an absolute mess as Si-yeol gets hospitalised and Eun-ho cries her heart out because of it. She is completely devastated that something like this has happened, and she has no idea how she will be able to save her lover. Later, we get to see that Eun-ho actually gave the fox bead to Woo-seok, believing that he would be able to keep it safe.  She lets him know that it is the only way by which she will be able to create a suitable life for both him and Si-yeol. After this, he gets to know that Yoon actually stabbed Si-yeol, and he becomes worried for him.

Sadly, Eun-ho gets told that Si-yeol might not make it through, and he might die that very night. Eun-ho then takes Woo-seok out to do something that might be the only way out. He then gives him a blade and tells him to stab her. He does exactly what she told him to do, and this reverses all the changing of fate that Eun-ho caused. Thus, Eun-ho dies in Si-yeol’s lap, and he also becomes perfectly healthy following the passing of Eun-ho. He once again becomes a star football player. This was done by Geum-ho, as we get to know about it later in the story.

We also see Si-yeol finally retiring after having a fulfilling professional football career and Woo-seok running a successful food business. But just when we think that the episode will end up as a tragedy, it does not, as Eun-ho comes back to life. She also saves Si-yeol once again, and they get their very own heartfelt reunion. Here, they have a very important discussion where Eun-ho lets him know that she doesn’t want to be a human and that time is running out every day. She knows that it will be a tragic goodbye between them.

But Si-yeol says that he does not mind as he wishes to be with her just like that. Thus, we see them going on a date, and hilariously, it turns out to be a bit too much for the couple. Here, while enjoying a romantic time with Si-yeol, Eun-ho finally sees the day when Si-yeol will die of old age, and Eun-ho will continue living. So this is a sad ending that will come to them later, but she refused to be affected by it in the present.

The episode does end on a hopeful note, assuring us that the couple will continue cherishing their time together until one of them inevitably perishes. Though it is a bittersweet interpretation if we think about it in the long run, it is still a fulfilling ending that I actually liked a lot. It reminds us that happiness is not measured by how long it lasts, but by how deeply it is felt.
