Woo-jae’s Suspicions Grow as Jun-mo Struggles to Control Himself

What I feared doesn’t happen in this episode, as Jun-mo doesn’t go overboard with his actions. He snaps at Ha-na, but he also composes himself quickly enough to revert back to being somewhat normal. He even lets Ha-na call Ha-ru to come and get her as soon as possible. Jun-mo in the end just tells Ha-na that he would like her to continue acting even if she refuses to act in his movies. For him, the idea of Ha-na not acting is far worse than anything ever.

Woo-jae had been reading text messages of the siblings back in Ha-na’s room and got an idea about a grave problem. However, he did not let the siblings know that he suspected something was amiss. His suspicion of Jun-mo only became stronger from this point onward.

Woo-jae Finally Reveals Why He Never Trusted Jun-mo

Ha-na asks Woo-jae why he did not like Jun-mo and thought he was a bad guy. And he finally disclosed how he also found out about the twisted nature of Jun-mo. The same note that the siblings got their hands on in the previous episode was discovered by Woo-jae as well. Woo-jae also realised that Jun-mo was weirdly attached to Ha-na and did not like him being close to her. He already knew that Jun-mo hated Woo-jae being Ha-na’s lover, yet Woo-jae never managed to say that to Ha-na because he thought he was being unnecessarily wary.

Ha-ru Neglects Ye-rang While Trying to Protect Everyone Around Him

The relationship dynamic showcased in this episode was interesting. We see some problems happening between Ha-ru and his girlfriend, Ye-rang. Ha-ru is extremely dense, and because he has been trying his best to protect both his sister and his best friend, he gave his lover far less time than he should. Thankfully, Woo-jae was mature enough to tell him that he should also invest in his girlfriend from time to time.

Ye-rang is a brilliant character who deserves all the love. She fights till the end for Ha-na to get a proper role, and yet when she tries to reach her boyfriend, he is nowhere to be seen.

Woo-jae Risks Everything to Protect Ha-na, but at What Cost?

Jun-mo is truly a one-of-a-kind antagonist who manages to cause a lot of damage without even lifting a finger. He knew that Woo-jae was the weak link in the friend group and utilised his intense wish to save his loved one as a way to punish the siblings. I genuinely didn’t expect Woo-jae to take such an approach to protect Ha-na, especially when it ended up undermining everyone’s efforts to save him. Was that a good decision? I do not know, but I definitely know that what Woo-jae did would have lasting consequences.

Final Thoughts

This episode was again full of mystery and lots of information. Not a single episode lets you predict what will happen next, and I like that aspect of this series. However, I also feel like we are getting fed twists a bit too much and a bit too often. I would like to know how they will end this series and solve all the issues in the remaining episodes.
