My Troublesome Star Episode 11 Recap

The episode opens right after the events of last week, when Se-ra is shoved down the stairs and is seriously injured, while Cheol goes to Seung-pil’s place to rescue Byung-gil. While Cheol fights valiantly, resulting in Seung-pil rushing off with his tail between his legs, Se-ra is taken to the hospital to be operated on while Baek-ja and Cheol arrive.

With the shoot on the brink of being cancelled, everyone tries to get a hold of Cheol, but to no avail. He, meanwhile, has gone to the hotel to figure out what to do, but by the time the police get there, everything had been cleaned out. At the hospital, Se-ra finally remembers what she did before she lost her memory – she abandoned her ailing father on the street, after which he got into an accident. When she finally comes to, she is thankful to see her family around her and then plays a small prank on Cheol.

She later tells Cheol about everything that she remembers – Guk-hee was the one who orchestrated Se-ra’s accident and the entire ordeal in the hotel, but without evidence, there’s little that they can do. Cheol decides that the best course of action would be to arrest Seung-pil, and then they can go after the assemblyman. Just then, he gets the call that Seung-pil has been killed.

With the doors closing, the detective has to come up with something else. Meanwhile, Guk-hee’s aide delivers the news that Da-hee is Se-ra’s niece and further tells him that she has taken care of her. At 2ONE, Cheol snoops around in Issac Lee’s office to get some evidence after Riley points him towards that direction and finds Riley’s NDA. After taking it with him, Cheol runs into Du-won and berates him for not telling him about Se-ra’s accident.

The next day, 2ONE’s offices are raided by officials from the Prosecutors’ Office, and Cheol delivers the news to Se-ra. When she starts to freak out about Seung-pil’s death, he calms her down, assuring her that he will take care of them. She thanks him for being there for him without anyone noticing, and the two have a warm reunion. Later that night at Jumbo Goshiwon, Se-ra comes to terms with Yu-ran’s death, mentioning that she was her family when Se-ra abandoned her own. Baek-jae overhears this conversation and silently cries, having arrived to deliver some food to her sister.

The next day, Se-ra goes to her shoot as usual and has a spat with Hui-yeong for delaying the shooting. In the end, the two end up slapping each other during a take and Se-ra, with fire in her eyes, tells a terrified Hui-yeong that she knows what she did to her.

My Troublesome Star‘s big revelation doesn’t turn out to be anything too shocking, as things have always been quite transparent from the start. From the look of things, this isn’t going to have any new twists either, and I guess it’s fine because you can sit back and relax. That being said, it’s lost a bit of the initial steam, which is truly a bummer.
