My Liberation Notes is a slice-of-life drama series that follows the lives of three siblings living in the Sanpo village in Gyeonggi-do. They commute to Seoul for work every day and most of their time is spent on travel. Their life is stuck in a mundane schedule but they are adamant about changing it. The youngest of the siblings, Mi-jeong’s life starts seeing a change when a man called Mr. Gu appears in her town.

Gi-jeong has been falling head over heels in love with Tae-hun but she is afraid to confess her feelings to him. When she finally does it, Tae-hun is flustered and doesn’t give a response. Gi-jeong is embarrassed and accidentally hurts herself. Gu and Mi-jeong are going forward in their relationship with dinner dates and opening up more to each other. Gu has been spotted by some people from Seoul and his hideout is exposed. However, Gu refuses to leave Sanpo because of Mi-jeong.
