My Happy Marriage Episode 1 Review
Tormented by her stepmother and step-sister, Miyo hopes for an escape from her bad fortune. This is another Cinderella-inspired story where it will either make your heart race or you will find it straight-up boring. The first episode sets up the premise for how the rest of the story will unfold, and one can fairly predict what might happen next. However, the breathtaking animation will surely keep you hooked till the end.
Miyo, a well-mannered and simple-minded girl, is treated like a mere servant by her father and stepmother following the death of her mother when she was a toddler. She does not expect anything good to happen in her life, but she still happens to hope for a better future, displaying her sheer yearning. However, she forces herself to hope for the worst in an attempt to protect herself from further heartbreak.
The enchanting journey of Miyo is showcased against the backdrop of a vibrant city. The animation beautifully captures the essence of the place, which is set in historical Japan. Everyone is wearing Kimonos displaying the rich culture of country, including the traditional Japanese architectural homes that transport us to a completely new world and era.

With technical camera angles exhibiting immersive sequences for the audience to relate and understand the depth of a situation is done exceptionally well. The brutal juxtaposition of painful reality and immaculate visuals runs through the entirety of the episode. Additionally, the detailed character design adds to the beauty of the series that it offers. It has the ability to evoke a range of emotions. The seamless transitions from one scene to another will tug at your heartstrings.
Apart from the animation, the background music elevates the storytelling process and further creates a world of allure and agony. Although the story does not contain any twists and turns, it manages to draw the audience’s attention and keep everyone asking for more. The audience instantly sympathises and roots for the character with a cruel backstory; however, only in the next episodes will we find out if it lives up to the expectations. So far, it has not derailed from the source material, keeping the fans of the manga satisfied.

Final Thoughts
The first episode of the series serves as an adequate introduction to the series. The unfortunate life of Miyo is shown in detail without dragging further and showcasing the next phase of her life. Moreover, the introduction of a new character at the end surely adds to the ambiguity of the show and makes the audience come back for more. The animation is another crucial aspect which elevates the quality of the show.

not my type of anime, i prefer today moderne tokyo, this first episode is unberable to watch, i dont like this time line where they threat servantes like garbage,
that girl bullied by ASSHOLE PARENTS AND WORSE SISTER BITCH (stop the smile grin or else i will come over and fix that joker style),
why the poor girl just pack her stuff and leaves is beyond my understanding,
My advice just skipp past some of it, this is too serious show, nothing happening, geisa and romantic stuff is for me a no no, BORRRING,
My score unless stuff get stepped up: 2.0 of 5
