Mission Yozakura Family Episode 4 Preview: This is another new addition to the already-packed lineup. This time, we have a Shounen anime based on modern-day spies and their escapades. 

Mission Yozakura Family, created by Hitsuji Gondaira, debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump on August 26, 2019, and has since been serialized into tankōbon volumes. The initial volume hit the shelves on February 4, 2020, with 22 volumes in circulation as of March 4, 2024.

In English, Viz Media distributes the manga digitally through its Shonen Jump website, while Shueisha offers simultaneous English releases via the Manga Plus app and website. Additionally, Viz Media commenced print releases on October 18, 2022.

In December 2022, news broke this manga would be transformed into an anime TV series by Silver Link. Leading the project is director Mirai Minato, who is also handling the scripts, with Mizuki Takahashi taking on the role of character designer and chief animation director. 

The music composition will be done by Kōji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki. This anime is scheduled for premiere on April 7, 2024, and it is slated to run for two consecutive cours on MBS and TBS. The opening theme, “Unmei-chan” (運命ちゃん, lit. ‘Fate’), is performed by Ikimonogakari, while the ending theme, “Fam!”, is sung by Chico.

The series centres on Taiyo Asano, who has faced significant losses in the past. His childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura, serves as his main support. However, Taiyo’s world takes a surprising turn when he discovers connections between Mutsumi’s family and a covert world. Following a confrontation involving the Yozakura family, Taiyo finds himself in an unexpected position: married to Mutsumi and entangled in a web of secrecy.

Episode 4 of Mission Yozakura Family can also be called Episode 4 Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen (夜桜さんちの大作戦).

Mission Yozakura Family Plot

High schooler Taiyou Asano’s life takes a wild turn after losing his family in a car crash, leaving him socially awkward. His saving grace is his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura, who happens to come from a family of super spies. 

But there’s a twist—Mutsumi’s big bro, Kyouichirou, is fiercely protective and has a dangerous love for her. Now, Taiyou’s caught in the crosshairs, and the only way out is to marry Mutsumi and join their spy clan. As he dives into this whirlwind of a life, Taiyou aims to become a top-notch spy, safeguard his wife, and untangle the mysteries shrouding both their pasts and the Yozakura family.

Mission Yozakura Family features a diverse cast of characters. At the centre of the story is Taiyo Asano, and his childhood friend, Mutsumi Yozakura. Mutsumi belongs to the Yozakura family, known as the world’s strongest family of spies.
