Lucas Film and Studio Ghibli to Come Together for Something Exciting, Read on

Studio Ghibli, which has been home to endless animated gems has teased a surprise collaboration with Lucas Film, the studio responsible for birthing the grand-scale sagas of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. A few minutes ago, the animation studio shared a cryptic video post on its Twitter account without any descriptive caption explaining the context.

Only the two logos of the companies can be seen transitioning into the other. Other than that, the fans have been completely left in the dark about what they might be brewing together. Fans are already commenting down the possible outcomes of this alliance, while some are even considering this to be a prank, owing to the bigger-than-life energy being exuded by this partnership. Could this be the birth of a Studio Ghibli rendition of Star Wars?

The animation studio has previously created numerous series that have gained quite a reputation over the years, with their respective characters becoming signature symbols that have a separate fanbase for themselves. Spirited Away (2001), My Neighbor Totoro (1988), Howl’s Moving Castle (2004), Princess Mononoke (1997), Ponyo (2008), Arrietty (2010), and more are some of the mind-bending movies produced by the studio.
