Lazarus Episode 9 Recap

Lazarus Episode 10 Review
Lazarus Episode 10: Still

The episode opens with a mysterious man calmly eating meat in a restaurant, even as the world around him teeters on the edge of collapse. Outside, chaos reigns and civilians armed with guns roam the streets, gunning down others without hesitation. This chilling descent into lawlessness is a direct consequence of Skinner’s revelation, and it paints a grim picture of society’s breakdown. As bodies fall around him, the man walks through the carnage unfazed, almost detached from the violence surrounding him.

Meanwhile, Axel and Doug come to a grim realization, once they uncover Skinner’s location, their own lives may be in danger. They know too much, and the people in power won’t hesitate to silence them to keep secrets buried.

Another bombshell drops when it’s revealed that Leyland has been acting as a mole within the Lazarus team, feeding intel to those in power. These higher authorities are not only opposed to Lazarus’s actions but are actively working to dismantle the group. Just then, Skinner released another video, announcing that the first death due to Hapna will occur in 10 days and he claims it will be his own. This suggests he hasn’t taken the antidote either and is disheartened by humanity’s failure to grasp the severity of the situation.

Toward the end, the mysterious man from the beginning is revealed to be connected to a notorious assassin known as the Phantom Killer. The same people plotting Lazarus’s downfall are now hiring this killer to eliminate Axel.

Lazarus Episode 10: Still

Today’s episode starts with the Lazarus team finding out that Doctor Skinner might have had a heart transplant. Then everybody gets to know that there is a hospital reserved for the very rich and individuals can go there to get operated on in absolute secrecy. Thus, to gather more information, they must gain access to this hospital. However, how can they do it?

Thankfully, they get to know that Leyland is actually extremely rich and comes from an aristocratic family. Apparently, he was an illegitimate child, and because of this, he was ignored by his father for the majority of his life. But his sister, who is still living at the house, loves him dearly and hates the fact that he abandoned all his duties. After Leland promises to spend a weekend with her, she agrees to help the Lazarus team out.

From the doctor at the hospital, they learned that Skinner indeed had a heart operation, and one can monitor his heart through a chip. The doctor then provides that chip to the Lazarus team, and they can now figure out who exactly is monitoring Skinner. But this trail again leads them back to Pakistan, where they previously found that hacker.

Apart from that, we also see that Axel shares a connection with Skinner. Apparently, the jail he was staying at, used him to experiment with the Hapna drug. However, we also see that the assassin, Phantom Killer, is trying to kill Axel.

Lazarus Episode 10: Still

This episode had many things in it, but at the same time, we still do not know anything about Skinner. As the world is almost coming to an end, I do not see how they will be able to solve the whole issue with Hapna while travelling from one place to another. Hopefully, we will get our answers soon.
