I Came By Trailer: A Sinister Suspense-Thriller Helmed by Babak Anvari

I Came By is an upcoming British thriller film, set to be released on Netflix this month. It is directed by BAFTA winner Babak Anvari, who has directed projects such as Under the Shadow, Monsterland and Wounds. He has also co-written the film with Namsi Khan (known for His Dark Materials).

The synopsis of the film reads, “Privilege hides the darkest secrets. After uncovering a sinister secret of a prestigious judge (Hugh Bonneville), a young graffiti artist (George Mackay) and his loved ones are dragged into a deadly game of cat and mouse.” A rebellious young graffiti artist targets the homes of London’s wealthy elite.

When he discovers a dark secret about a prestigious judge, it leads him on a shocking journey endangering himself and those closest to him. The cast of this thriller includes George Mackay as Toby, Kelly Macdonald and Hugh Bonneville as Sir Hector Blake for the main cast.

The trailer has a suspenseful start, as we see Hugh Bonneville walking down his basement stairs and asking if there’s anybody in there. Cut to a woman, hiding and breathing heavily in fear of being caught. Following that we get to know that he is a popular Judge who is known for his good work and is called a ‘saint’ by people.

But George Mackay thinks otherwise and calls it a publicity stunt. His character is actually an anonymous graffiti artist who breaks into the homes of the very wealthy and then sprays his illegal artistic creations inside! But when he breaks into the home of the ‘saint’ judge, he discovers something horrifying that wasn’t meant to be seen by anyone else.

That’s when starts a thrilling chase between the two as one tries to protect his image and the other is out to reveal his sinister secrets. But the chase also involves and endangers the graffiti artists’ loved ones. So who will win in this chase, will the Judge get caught or something more worrying awaits the artist?
