Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is an upcoming romantic film directed by Karan Johar and produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. The film stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh as Rocky, Alia Bhatt as Rani, Arjun Bijlani and Shraddha Arya.
Karan Johar Johar took to social media and shared a video of the wrap-up celebration. He called the film ‘a piece of my heart’ and wrote, “It’s a talkie wrap on a piece of my heart…a kahani that became a journey which I will hold close to me forever! I sat in the director’s chair after many years and it felt like coming home. We had legends and superstars on the set and in front of the camera – they were magic!”
In the video, we can see all the cast of the film celebrating the wrap-up and talking about their experience while shooting. Alia Bhatt, who had already wrapped her schedule last week, joined Ranveer Singh and the film’s crew via a videocall. Johar wittingly pointed it out as a virtual and real kahani.

The cast also cut a number of cakes and hug each other, as we witness a cute moment between Dharmendra and Ranveer. The actor further stated that he always wanted to work in a Dharma Production but didn’t know that his first film with the production house would be directed by the man – Karan Johar himself.
It is also a special moment as Johar is returning to direction after many years with the film. His last directorial project was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016, starring Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. The video was later posted by other cast members as well on their social media handles.
The film is said to be a sensual love story between a boy who belongs to a rich upper-class family, the heir to Dhanlaxmi Enterprises, who lives in a lavish mansion in Gurgaon called House Gurgaon and a middle-class girl who lives in a lousy fort. They fall in love with each other but their parents are unhappy with this union.

Recently, the lead cast of the film Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt joined Johar on his show Koffee with Karan Season 7, in the opening episode. The episode was well received by the audience and made fans await the duo to come back as a lead in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
