Enola Holmes 2 Ending Explained

From what we know after watching the movie, Enola figures out the real culprit behind Williamson’s murder and shares it with her brother Sherlock Holmes. However, the seasoned detective refuses to believe the forceful evidence and remarks that there is a totally different enigma around it.

Enola spots a piece of paper inside Williamson’s hand, and eventually connects it with the paper she received from Mae. Both the siblings figure out the exact meaning of the cypher (with slight help from Lord Tewkesbury) and reach their final destination.

After reaching the musical theatre, Enola meets with the missing girl and learns about her plan to expose the authorities related to the matchstick production factory. Meanwhile, the corrupt Superintendent Grail arrives out of the blue, and places everyone under arrest. Which breaks out a full-fledged fighting scene between the police officers and the detectives.

Ultimately, Enola and associates emerge as the victorious party and end up defeating the corrupt forces of Superintendent Grail. This is when Lord McIntyre arrives on the scene and decides to place the missing girl under arrest for her crimes. However, Sherlock and Enola prove to the Lord that it was her own assistant Moriarty, who curated the master plan.

Finally, Moriarty gets arrested after making a completely wicked monologue. Moreover, Lord McIntyre burns the evidence surrounding the matchstick factory and attempts to hide his crime. Before Tewkesbury tries to intervene, he is stopped by Sherlock and advised to have patience for the right time.

The scene shifts to the Matchstick factory, where Enola motivates all the girls to quit the deadly working place and march for their rights. In the end, she is successful in calling a strike and persuades the girls to fight for better working conditions. Furthermore, Lord McIntyre is arrested by Tewkesbury while the parliament is in session.

During the climax, we are shown an emotional goodbye from Sherlock Holmes to his detective sister Enola. The senior holmes pitch a joint investigation agency to Enola, even though he knows that the young detective is ready to take on the world independently. Furthermore, Enola makes a scheduled meeting with Sherlock and leaves with Lord Tewkesbury.

During the post-credit scene, we can see a new roommate waiting for Sherlock Holmes at his gate. When the detective learns that he is sent by Enola, he further enquires about his name. To which he replies Dr Watson (played by Himesh Patel), along with a smirk which ensures that the literary character has finally met his trustee associate.
