Destined With You Episode 14 Recap

The episode starts with Shin-yu at the hospital where his heartbeat stops and he views his past life. In the past, Shin-yu, known as Jang Mu-jin, and Hong-jo, known as Aeng-cho, are deeply in love but face challenges. Mu-jin is forced into an unwanted marriage due to his father’s threats to harm Aeng-cho. Despite this, they long to run away together. However, Aeng-cho, under pressure from Mu-jin’s father, distances herself from Mu-jin.

When the queen demands Aeng-cho to curse the young prince, she refuses, leading to the prince’s mysterious death. The king tortures Aeng-cho, who eventually reveals the king’s guilt. She curses anyone who kills her to face generations of cruelty. Locked in a well, Mu-jin saves her, hoping to exchange a spell book for their freedom. Aeng-cho refuses, fearing the queen’s misuse of the spells.

Mu-jin disappears with the spell book, leaving Aeng-cho vulnerable to attack. Soldiers pursue her, and Mu-jin decides to protect her, even though he is wounded. Facing a grim fate, they meet in a snowy landscape, and Mu-jin, to save her from dismemberment, reluctantly stabs Aeng-cho. They pledge to be happy in their next life, and she smiles in death, accepting the death.

In the present day, Shin-yu gets revived, and Hong-jo decides to stay away from him due to the threat of Mr. Na. Shin-yu reunites with her revealing that the curse is lifted since he died and came back to life. They share memories of their past lives and are happily reunited with a hug, finally finding their love once again.
