Bartender Glass Of God Episode 2 Review and Recap – Sasakura Is Hard To Convince

Bartender Glass Of God Episode 2 Review Sasakura Handles Difficult Customers

Both Miwa and Yukari have been desperate to get Sasakura to work for them but things are not going too well. They know that for anyone especially foreigners, who land in Japan for the very first time the first person they meet is the bartender. And it is through the bartender that they get their first impression of the country. This is why, it is very important for them as employees of their hotel, to get someone like Sasakura on board as bartending is not a job that anybody can do.

Then Miwa and Yukari reach Eden Hall for their second attempt at convincing Sasakura to join them, but they discover the bar is closed. Later, we find out how Sasakura usually goes to help out his friends at their bar when he closes Eden Hall. And, surprisingly, while he was helping at another bar he met Kurushima Taizo, the head of Miwa’s hotel. He is there because it has been a ritual for him to be at that bar every month on the day of the previous owner’s death. The previous owner had been a friend of his, and his drinks were something that was very close to Kurushima’s heart.

You would think that as Sasakura is there, he will definitely be able to impress this elderly gentleman with his creations right away. But that did not happen as whatever concoction Sasakura came up with was quickly labelled awful and was harshly critiqued by the head.

How Sasakura managed to get past him and serve him an ideal drink is something that you should go and watch yourself. But the head was not the only difficult customer that Sasakura had to face. Later, while he was again hounded by Miwa and Yukari to join them at their bar, a woman running from rain approached Eden Hall. Right off the bat, she was rude and even dismissed Sasakura’s profession and called him an asshole. He served her another interesting drink that I never heard of.

Verdict

I liked this episode and it managed to keep me engaged with its simple storyline. The premise of this anime is very unique and has a soothing atmosphere to it. When you are watching this do not expect action, drama, comedy or anything of that sort and just watch it to feel relaxed.
