What happens after Subaru gets confronted?

Subaru did not expect that he would be confronted by Ram. Thus, his natural reaction was to attack her, and she stopped that by activating a shield around him. What he further did not expect was the appearance of Emilia there as well. This kind of shifted something within him, and he finally reveals that he has lost his memories. At first, Ram refused to accept this excuse and tried to attack Subaru.

However, Emilia comes to his rescue, and Ram even attacks her when she tries to defend Subaru. When he finally wakes up, he again sees scribbles of him being there around the room. This leads him to believe that he might have done something to Ram and Emilia.

Who is the unexpected person who arrives to find Subaru?

Reid comes down from his space, signalling that he is allowed to travel within the tower. However, the reason he came down is that he wanted to fight against Julius. He then goes to challenge Julius, who was already tired because he was having his own share of fights. Thus, a battle begins between Julius and Reid, where Julius tells Subaru to take care of Anastasia.

What happens when Subaru finds Anastasia?

Anastasia becomes very wary of this new Subaru because she has already heard from Ram that this Subaru could be an impostor.  Betty, however, decided to believe in him, and something happened later that also made Anastasia believe in the new Subaru. Out of nowhere, a spider attacks the group, and Subaru saves Anastasia. In another surprise attack, Betty most likely loses her life, and a gravely injured Anastasia is recovered by Subaru.

What was the psychological condition of Subaru here?

Meili’s ghost, which is most likely an imposter, tries to mess with Subaru’s head yet again. She constantly tells Subaru to do heinous things, and that only adds to the mental breakdown of our hero. She also tells Subaru to mortally hurt Anastasia when she was gravely injured. Meili tried to influence Subaru into committing this crime, but Subaru could not.

Does Subaru meet with Emilia?

Subaru was hounded by the Satella, who constantly confessed her love to him. Just when Subaru was about to lose his mind completely, Emilia came to his rescue. However, Subaru refuses to go with her because he just could not understand why a girl like her and others would have so much faith in him when he himself does not like his true self. This scene becomes one of the most crucial scenes ever, where Emilia discloses her affection to Subaru, and he finally realises just how his past self managed to stay strong. He did everything in his power to protect her because he, too, was in love with her.

What worked and what did not work?

This was one of the best episodes yet, largely because we got to witness a kind of revival within Subaru. Even though he reverted to his original, more cowardly self, he ultimately managed to rediscover who he was. I’m incredibly excited to see what he does next.

  1. You are just telling what happened in the episode, no actual reviews.
    – You skipped Subaru asking for forgiveness part which is one of the best moment in the episode.
    – Really, a spider and not a scorpion?
    – Meili is not influencing Subaru to kill Anastasia here. Anastasia is asking Subaru to kill her to make it easy for the pain but Subaru can’t do it, showing his good-nature even with memory loss. That’s why Anastasia is asking forgiveness for doubting Subaru.

You should at least provide why do you think he got his resolve back here instead of re-telling the episode.
    – When Julius was in a position where he could die, he entrusted Anastasia’s safety to Subaru instead of treating Subaru as a dead weight or liability. This broke Subaru’s worldview because Subaru’s internal belief at that point: “I’m weak. I’m fake. I’m useless. Why would anyone depend on me?”. Julius contradicted that and sees Subaru as competent and trustworthy.
    – Beatrice continuing to believe in him and didn’t abandon him. She never treated Subaru as a fake, failure, or someone who needed to be come the “old Subaru” first. To Subaru, that’s unbearable because he thinks: “If you knew the real me, you wouldn’t trust me.” But Beatrice already knew his worst parts and stayed.
    – Echidna forgiving him. Subaru was carrying enormous guilt of failing, causing deaths, and becoming suspicious of everyone. Yet Echidna doesn’t condemn him, that mercy becomes proof that Subaru isn’t irredeemable.
    – Emilia saving him from being swallowed by despair instead of demanding to return the “old Subaru”. Subaru was offering himself to disappear and his logic: “If the real Natsuki Subaru is gone, find someone better.” But Emilia refuses the premise and doesn’t say: “Become the old Subaru” or “Get your memories back” instead, she accepts the Subaru in front of her and asked, “You, who have made us feel that way, who are you?” That response destroyed his self-hatred.
    – Finally, Subaru realizes everyone wanted him, not an idealized hero. He concluded: Julius entrusted me. Beatrice believed in me. Echidna forgave me. Emilia wants me. If all these people are reaching toward “Natsuki Subaru” then maybe I should become that person. Not because he suddenly believed in himself, but because he wanted to answer their faith.

“Even if I don’t remember… I’ll choose to be the Subaru everyone trusted.” That choice is what reignites him and lets him return to helping everyone clear the Tower.

    • stop larping “tourist” lmfao…
Also the EP was not 10/10, 10/10 means perfect something like S1E15 but this was nowhere close that.
      9/10 max
