Who is the actual master of the daemons that attacked Yuru?

At first, it appeared that someone very powerful must have been the master of the daemons who attacked Yuru, but that was not the case. When Yuru threatens this person to come out, we see that a scared kid shows himself. He becomes so scared that he begs not to be killed.

Who is this kid?

He says that his name is Tadera Ken. This literally means that he is related to Tadera. Things further complicate when he claims that this house was his father’s, making Yuru think that it was Tadera’s kid. However, Ken is actually Tadera’s brother, whom Tadera’s father sired with an Ethiopian mother.

What did this episode reveal about Yuru’s character?

Yuru is absolutely ruthless when it comes to saving himself and those he cares for. He does not care whether his opponent is a child or not. However, this does not mean that he mindlessly attacks anyone and everyone. Those who do not bear ill will towards him, he readily forgives them. In this episode, he also helped bury the people who tailed him because their dead bodies could cause plague. This just showcases how practical he is.

Why did the kid release the daemons anyway?

We learn that the kid actually released the daemons accidentally. We also learned that once a master wants the daemons to be released, they can dissolve the contract without any issues. This episode also highlights that the freedom of the daemons depends on their master. If Yuru wants, Right and Left could be sent back to the village.

Ken also revealed that he has no idea where Yuru’s parents are. Plus, he doesn’t even know whether his own father is alive or not, as he just stopped coming one day. After his mother died, Ken decided to make contracts with daemons, and this backfired because he had no idea how evil his daemons were.

What was the reaction of Hana when she got to know about the kid?

This segment was absolutely hilarious because Hannah right away thinks that Ken was Tadera’s secret child. She even asks for a divorce and gets sad when she learns that she cannot get any money out of Tadera after the divorce. However, Tadera clarifies that the child is his half-brother and he will be staying with them from now on. Though at first Hana becomes mad, she readily accepts the situation.

What is that next mission?

Most probably, the next mission would be to find Tadera’s father, who could have some clue about what happened to Yuru’s mother and father. However, he is a mysterious person whom nobody really knows. Hence, it would be interesting to see how they find him.

What worked and what did not work?

I liked this episode as it had many comedic elements. It also revealed some of the plot and introduced a new character who could become very interesting later in the series. However, one thing that also became clear was that the main villain might be someone from the Kagemori clan.
