Yuzuru Hanyu ICE STORY 2023 GIFT at Tokyo Dome Reactions: Ice King’s Embodiment of Eternal Flame Leaves Everyone Entranced

Now that the Olympic-trained athlete has released his documentary, viewers are letting their opinions shine in the Yuzuru Hanyu ICE STORY 2023 GIFT at Tokyo Dome reactions. Originally presented as a one-night-show only in February 2023, Disney+’s first show with the Japanese figure skater, also featured him as an ice show producer. Supported by art director Mikiko of ELEVENPLAY, the ice show’s music is provided by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Now available for streaming on the OTT platform, the documentary film also grants the viewer a look at an interview with the director/producer at the end of the show, extending the runtime to 2 hours and 42 minutes. The production allows for the self-portrayal of Yuzuru Hanyu’s life on the ice.

Everyone knows the man and the legend, Yuzuru Hanyu. Watching his Olympic dances is a little look into his boundless talent as a performer. With this documentary, we don’t just get a closer look at his dancing abilities but his early life coming up in this industry. The story is effortlessly entwined with the dance performance he had put up at the Tokyo Dome. We get to see some behind-the-scenes footage of him preparing for this performance. However, what he says pales in comparison to the brilliance he has presented.

In the documentary, we see a stage that has been lit and designed with so much intention that it makes Hanyu’s abilities as a producer and dancer even more evident. The performances are powerful yet graceful, intentional and effortless at the same time. It speaks to the ability this artist and athlete has over his craft. People on the internet agree. There are people calling him literal art. From little kids to adults, everyone is ready to acknowledge the breadth and depth of his talent as an artist.

They are ready to share all their insights about the artist, making poignant comments about the dance, the techniques, and the danceability. There is another side of the fandom who have made this video their fan event, sharing videos of throwing Winnie-the-Pooh plushies at the screen. Just like the ice rink at the global events, this was their way of showing appreciation and love to Hanyu. Others have taken to comment how the viewers and their love sustains him even when he is actually incredibly talented on his own, without any external filtration.

  1. I don’t think I have the ability to put the right words together to describe how an unique and mesmerizing show this is. GIFT is really a gift for the soul! Watching GIFT is an experience with so many layers that’s deffinitely something that needs to be revisited several times.
