Lockwood and Co is an upcoming series that will be released on Netflix. The show is the live-action adaptation of Jonathan Stroud’s popular book series of the same name. Written and directed by Joe Cornish alongside William McGregor and Catherine Morshead. In May 2020, the series was announced, and the development officially started later that year.
Ed Hime, Kara Smith, and Joy Wilkinson also serve as writers on the series along with Cornish. The basic premise of the show is about the adventures of an extremely gifted young girl and her two newly made teenage friends. The trio set out to uncover some of the deepest and darkest secrets that will change their entire lives.

Ruby Stokes as Lucy Carlyle, Cameron Chapman as Anthony Lockwood, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati as George Karim are the leading actors of the series. In the supernatural world filled with unknown entities, spirits and ghosts, two teenage boys set out to start their small agency to help the public and fight the deadly enemies of the night. The new start-up called Lockwood and Co. was run by only two members, Anthony Lockwood and George Karim until Lucy Carlyle came along to offer her much-needed help.
Lucy is a gifted girl with the utmost physical abilities and has become a great addition to the staff. The trio quickly became best friends and started to discover some of the most dangerous and darkest classified mysteries to restore peace and harmony in the world. However, the road to their goal is rocky and will require great determination to overcome it.
The short trailer showcases exciting action sequences, including magical wands and talking lamps. The novel is very popular and a fan favourite. It will be interesting to witness if the creators can capture the books’ essence.
