Wednesday Addams Teaser: Jenna Ortega is Ready to Cause Mayhem in Tim Burton’s Spin-off Series

Wednesday Addams is an upcoming comedy horror series, based upon the character of the same name from The Addams Family. It is a spin-off live-action series directed by none other than Tim Burton and will be released on Netflix. In fact, he was even offered to direct the 1991 film but wasn’t able to due to a conflicting schedule.

The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

The new teaser gives us a glimpse of Wednesday’s arrival at a public school where she is scrutinised by the students. But soon we are introduced to her unorthodox fish-feeding methods, eerie dance moves and formidable cello abilities. We also take a brief tour of Nevermore and meet Enid (Emma Myers), Wednesday’s opposites-attract roommate.

The scene of absolute chaos in the pool with piranhas is lifted with the use of the background score Non rien de rien, a famous french song which says that I don’t regret anything in life, be it good or bad. And knowing Wednesday, we certainly know she definitely doesn’t regret anything. But after getting expelled she is sent to Nevermore Academy.

But she calls it stepping into a nightmare, full of mystery, mayhem and murder. And ends it with the line, ‘I think I’m going to love it here’. Well, we have to see whether she does or contributes to the chaos as we all know Wednesday loves it when things die.

The cast of the series includes Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Riki Lindhome as Dr Valerie Kinbott, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene Otinger, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Naomi J. Ogawa as Yoko Tanaka and many others.
